





Parliament’s May session: protecting victims, foreign investments, the gender care gap and more.
The European Parliament wrapped up its session, in which it:
- greenlit EU legislation to improve support for victims of crime
- updated EU rules to screen foreign investments to identify risks to security
- made proposals for a society where carers are properly valued
- adopted updated EU steel safeguards to address global overcapacity
- held the first ceremony to confer the European Order of Merit on individuals who have contributed to the EU.
