After 6 Months Our Foster, Roady, Is Ready To Find His Forever Home. Co-Foster Also Available! Info In Post

My wife and I decided to foster Roady through the Stockton Animal Shelter as he was overdue for termination and something about him drew us to him, and after 6 months of caring and training we feel like he's ready to find his people.
Roady is an approximately 2 year old male neutered Amstaff Terrier / Pit Mix. He is brindle colored and weighs approximately 45 lbs. He currently has all of his shots and is ready to board / enter doggy daycare if needed.
My wife and I have had Roady under our care for the last 6 months and he truly is a special dog. He is completely housebroken and is able to be left by himself with basic dog-proofing precautions. He is very good on a leash, tending to want to stick by his owner during the walk. On a leash he is very non-reactive towards other people and other dogs and other stimuli. Around the home he is the ultimate "velcro-dog" he loves spending time close to his people and is very snuggly and loves pets. He is also excellent around other dogs in the house as well - we own a 20lb terrier and a 70 lb Aussie and he just fell right into the pack with both dogs, loving to play and snuggle with the other dogs as well. He is not possessive over food or toys. We do not know how he does around children as we do not have children ourselves.
Roady is a rescue and has come so far in the last 6 months that he's been with us. He's adjusted to riding in cars, trips to the vet, being boarded, learning crate training and having new people visit the home. Roady is very sweet and faces most situations in life very shyly and is a little bit of a "scaredy cat". In short he's a lover not a fighter. He is going to be a hard dog to say goodbye to but ultimately we are looking for his Forever Home in someone who is willing to love him back. If you are interested in meeting Roady for ownership or co-foster please send me a DM. Thanks again!

Adopt Me / Co-Foster Me! Info in post

Say hello to Roady!

We are currently fostering him in partnership with our local animal shelter (Stockton) We’ve been fostering him for approximately the last 3 months, he was due for euthanasia and we decided to give him a second chance. When we decided to foster him he was very scared and not adapting to being in a kennel at all.

Roady is about a year and a half old male neutered Staffy / Terrier mix weighing about 45-50lbs. He is a sweet, energetic and very playful dog that embodies the term “Velcro dog” with that said he is a rescue and has some issues that may need a more experienced owner to meet his needs and work with him on bad habits.

Pros: He is fiercely loyal, great with other dogs (he’s currently living with our 2 other dogs, a terrier and an Aussie) very loving and protective of his owners. Loves to go for walks, very good on a leash and in public is much more timid than he is protective. He loves his play, but also is able to settle down and sleeps very well and is also an amazing at cuddling. He loves being close to his people and night and catching some zzz’s. He is also very intelligent and will train well if given the time.

Things he needs work on: Roady can have separation anxiety, and thus does not do well in a crate. Our home is set up so that he doesn’t need a crate so he hasn’t had much crate training. Outside the home he is fairly passive but inside the home he can be overprotective of his owners and can show signs of aggression towards others that he is not aquatinted with. He is not living with children currently so we cannot speak on the matter of whether he would be good with them or not.

If you’d be interested in meeting Roady message me and we can coordinate a meet up, and if adoption / co-foster is considered it will have to be done through the animal shelter. Thank you for your consideration and let me know if there are any questions that need answered.
