42F (South East Asian) in Dubai, previously married to a Muslim man — seeking serious long-term / open to second wife

Assalamu alaikum. I’m a 42-year-old Asian woman living in Dubai and I’ll share my story honestly.

I was previously married to a Muslim man — five years that were, truly, the best of my life. We divorced when I was 32, and in the years since I’ve come to feel more and more that a Muslim man, and that way of life, is what’s good for me. I moved to Europe for work after my marriage ended, partly to find my feet again and heal from the heartbreak. I built a life there, but the taxes were brutal, and eventually I came back to Dubai, where I’m based for work.

I’m a professional — currently a product manager at a software company — and I intend to keep working; I’m not looking to be a burden. But I’m tired of the harshness of the world and of modern dating, and I have no interest in dating apps. What I want is something real: a good man to build a long-term life with, or a marriage for life. I’m open to being a second wife.

After years of standing on my own, what my heart longs for is to be cared for and cherished — a generous, loving man who likes to look after his woman and spoil her a little, and who I can adore, respect, and make a soft place for in return.

I take good care of myself and I’m told I look good for my age. I’m looking for a mature man, roughly 50–60, who is established, kind, and serious. Someone who will respect me, and whom I can respect and care for too.

I’d appreciate serious, respectful responses only. Please respect my post.

Postscript: To be upfront: I’m Christian, not Muslim. But my years married to a Muslim man were the happiest of my life, and I have deep love and respect for the faith and that way of living. I’m open, warm, and comfortable in it- I just want to be honest about where I stand.

Dating Again at 42: Does It Ever Get Easier?

I’m a 42-year-old woman who has finally decided to start dating again after a two-year break following the separation from my international mixed-race marriage.
I’m genuinely wondering, how do people find potential life partners these days?
So far, I’ve only had encounters with married men or men in their late 30s who, based on where they are in life and what they’re looking for, don’t seem to be the right fit for me.
Sometimes it feels like no one is truly a match, and I can’t help but wonder if it only gets harder from here.
I’m also not interested in going through the “teenage dating” phase again—playing games, mixed signals, or endless chatting. I’m looking for something straightforward, genuine, and intentional.
For those who found love again after a separation or divorce, how did it happen for you? Was it difficult to find the right person, and what advice would you give?
