Weird Noise

UPDATE: I dont know how I missed this the first time but I just noticed that on the right rubber mount for the transfer case, the Nut on the bolt is gone and now the undertray is hitting the metal I am pretty confident this is the cause of my noise

My Niva makes some noise again but I dont know what it is

I know how a bad transmission bearing and rubber disc between the two sound, its different. Its a heavy loud metal scratching noise of sorts starting at 60kmh, worse on rougher parts of the road. If I press the clutch it stays, it happens in any gear. Revving high while putting the transfer case into neutral and going through gears makes no noise.

Is it the cardan shafts running dry or differential ? How severe is this?

Door Modification for Niva

Basically any car has a way to keep the door half open, my 2009 Niva doesnt. I dont have a problem with this but friends and family always forget and im worried someday they will let the door smash into another car. Is there any modification to make it stop at half open like other cars ?

The Steering refuses to work and Im all out of Ideas Id be very thankful if someone could take a look and tell me what im doing wrong. I hope this is allowed I uploaded the rbxm of the Truck model here

I also tried removing the motors for the front wheels and using unpowered hinges but that yielded no difference. If you click on the Servos while playing you can see theyre shaking violently

When you cant afford the Soviet Chrome

You make your own! Bought Rallye style chrome primer (black) and this chrome paint, 3 layers each and it turned out wonderful. Why spend money on original chrome parts when you can make your own!

Supercharging

Anyone have experience with supercharging the Lada engines? Im planing to put a AMR500 on my 1700 Niva, and yes I am fully aware its not a race car and the transmission will not like this, its more of a can I do it thing

Edit: I am not asking about how its done, thats not a concern of me. I simply want to know if people here have done it or seen it and how it went

Anyone have any ACTUAL guides on how to voice train? (mtf)

I scrolled through this sub a bit and read some posts and seem to have the same issue thats been said here multiple times, theres way too much different info out there. But whats actually gonna work in the end?

English isnt my first language and while im good with it I dont really know all these special words that are being used, and the training methods seem to differ from video to video aswell. Im kinda clueless on how how to actually get going and train my voice

Monoblock for Niva

Asking primarily the russian Niva drivers as it seems to be mostly dominant in russia, do you have experience with the monoblock connection for the transmission and transfer case?

Previous owner properly fucked up the mounts, bolts and everything in that area and the idea of just connecting the two together would save me a lot of trouble

Soviet worklight in "modern" Nivas

The 1600 Niva had a 12V socket in the engine bay for the weirdly shaped work light that came in the car tools, the 1700 doesnt. So I made my own

I used HELLA 8JB 004 123-002 socket for this and placed it exactly where the original one would be above the brake fluid reservoir. Now just run wires and its good to go.

When I redid my whole cooling system, I was wondering what could be done instead of the original air filter box. It takes up lots of space, doesnt need to.

I have a 2009 MPI Niva and a Snorkel, so there is the question about the Sensor before the intake manifold but it can probably be moved without big issue.

Does anyone have any experience of directly connecting a hose from the snorkel to the throttle body? With a air filter in the hose between? See my beautiful art representation

Hi everyone,

I want to fix my moms Dacia Lodgy, I think its a 2018 if I remember correctly. For quite some time the far left knob to control where the AC goes has not been able to be turned fully to only go to the window. You can turn it about halfway there and hold it with a lot of force, and it actually only pushes air to the windows but immediately snaps back to the previous position if you let go.

Anyone have any tips as how to access the knobs and what could be the issue? Thanks!
