BOTD- Mini Rodeo

BOTD- Mini Rodeo

My Mini Rodeo from Andrea’s Kata Flash Sale has arrived and I am in love. The leather and the overall feel is great and it really impressed me the minute I got it in hand. I’ve already taken her out for a spin today. Full review coming soon because I definitely need to talk about this one.

BOTD- P9 Indigo 30

She was patiently waiting on me while I tried on clothes today. She's propped up for the picture but she melts like better when I put her down. I spent 4 days working on this bag to get it to this point that I feel confident taking it out. Full overview of my experience to come but let's take a moment to appreciate this beauty (and my hard work, lol)

The Luxury Edit | Expectations vs. Reality | Vol. 2

I've learned something about myself over the last few months. By the time I reach out to a seller, I'm usually done shopping. The decision has already been made. I've compared photos, watched videos, read reviews, talked myself out of buying it at least twice, and somehow convinced myself I'm "just gathering information." So when I messaged Didi, I wasn't looking for someone to sell me shoes. I already knew exactly which shoes I wanted. I just needed someone to help me get them on my feet.

Ironically, the only thing I didn't have figured out was the one thing that actually mattered.

My size.

Like many of us, I was repfluenced. My Fairy Rep Mother u/Fashionfobic had raved about Didi for quality clothes and shoes, so when I was ready to order, she was my first stop. My original order included the Fendi mules I'd already tried on in-store and the infamous Chanel Cargo jeans. I paid, started planning outfits in my head, and waited for tracking.

Then Didi messaged me.

The jeans weren't available.

Thankfully, I was already putting together a second order, so we simply applied the balance toward a pair of Hermès Bouncing Sneakers instead. Problem solved... or so I thought.

The first pair of Fendi mules arrived, and the quality was actually really nice.

There was just one problem.

They didn't fit.

Somewhere between my measurements and the sizing recommendation, we got it wrong. It happens. I gifted the first pair and ordered another in the correct size, expecting this to be a quick fix. Instead, I learned another lesson. The second pair fit perfectly. The quality didn't.

If you've been in this hobby long enough, you know that consistency isn't always guaranteed. Same shoe. Same seller. Very different execution. The finishing wasn't as clean, and side by side, the difference was obvious.

I reached out to Didi with comparison photos. She pushed back. I pushed back. Eventually she agreed to replace them, which I appreciated. But by that point I'd already bought the shoes twice. I wasn't about to pay for international shipping again, then pay to have another pair shipped back to me. At some point you stop asking yourself, "Is this worth fixing?" and start asking, "Could I have just bought the authentic pair by now?"

So I drove to my local hobby store, bought a tube of leather glue, made a few small repairs myself, and called it a day.

Are they perfect?

No.

Will I wear them?

Absolutely.

I've bought authentic Fendi mules almost every summer, so I can spot the little inaccuracies immediately. I also know that absolutely nobody walking past me at brunch is crouching down to inspect the stitching on my shoes.

They're passable.

More importantly, I'm confident wearing them.

Ironically, another seller had warned me not to buy Fendi shoes because they weren't repped particularly well. Unfortunately, that conversation happened after I'd already placed my order. When the second pair arrived, I actually went back and told them they were right. Sometimes the best advice comes just a little too late.

Thankfully, the second half of this order completely redeemed the experience.

The Hermès Bouncing Sneakers were everything I'd hoped they'd be. Beautifully made. Comfortable from the first wear. The leather smelled like leather the moment I opened the package, and even though I skipped the boxes to save on shipping, they still arrived with dust bags and paperwork, carefully packed alongside the Fendi mules.

These are the kinds of purchases that remind me why I love this hobby.

My only small observation is the color. They're supposed to be Blanc, but mine lean a little more eggshell than crisp white.

Would anyone else notice?

Probably not.

The funny thing about collecting replicas is that the biggest difference isn't always the leather, the stitching, or the hardware. It's confidence. I wear my replicas everywhere. If I'm constantly worried someone is going to "call me out," then I've already bought the wrong item. Confidence has always been the best accessory in my closet, and these Hermès sneakers earned that confidence immediately.

This order reminded me that two things can be true at the same time. A seller can get something wrong and still handle it professionally. One purchase can disappoint you while another exceeds every expectation. And every order, good or bad, teaches you something you'll carry into the next one.

Would I order from Didi again?

Absolutely.

She was responsive, easy to work with, and stood behind her product even after a little back and forth. That said, one thing I've learned is not to become loyal too quickly.

I’m building my own list of my go-to sellers. But I'm still curious. I still want to compare factories. I still want to meet new (vetted) sellers. In fact, my Loewe Toggle Sandals came from someone else entirely, and the quality was exceptional. That experience reminded me that every seller seems to have a category where they really shine.

And maybe that's the real lesson.

The goal isn't to find one perfect seller.

It's to keep learning.

Because in this hobby, the hunt doesn't end when the package arrives.

It simply begins again.

A Quick Note: Every seller I purchase from knows I plan to share my items. Sharing a post isn't an endorsement; it's my honest experience. If something impresses me, I'll tell you why. If something falls short, I'll tell you that too and everything in between. My goal is to share thoughtful, evidence-based experiences that help fellow collectors make informed decisions.

The Bag That Elevated My Everyday

My favorite bag is my Saint Laurent Jamie Shopping Bag from Black Frame.

I have quite a few bags in my collection, but my favorites have always been the ones I actually reach for every single day. This is that bag.

It somehow makes every outfit feel more polished. Running errands, grabbing coffee, even a trip to the post office feels a little more elevated when I'm carrying it. It's effortless, understated, and works with everything.

This one will never be rehomed because it's become part of my everyday life. My goal is to wear it until I can't anymore and if that day ever comes, I'll simply buy another one! That's how much I love it.

Some bags are for special occasions. This one is for living, and that's why it's my forever bag.

The Luxury Edit | The Hunt Was Worth It | Vol. 1

If you'd asked me six months ago which luxury brand I'd be obsessing over, Elle-vee probably would've been near the bottom of the list. I've always gravitated toward S@int L's quiet confidence, Seeline's minimalism, and Lo3we's artistic approach to design. Elle-vee just never felt like me.

Then the Speedy P9 happened.

What started as casual curiosity scrolling through the subs quickly turned into what every collector knows is the point of no return: comparing authentic listings, zooming into factory photos, and convincing myself I was "just doing research."

Spoiler alert: I was absolutely not just doing research.

I eventually landed on Huahui through Betty during the 6.18 sale because several collectors felt it was comparable to Royal in all the ways that mattered. When the PSPs arrived, I zoomed in like I'd just been hired by the quality control team. Betty was kind, patient, and easy to work with throughout the process, but I did notice something worth mentioning: the original PSPs and the additional photos I requested in better lighting/ different angles were not the same bag. The difference was night and day. Fortunately, the second set was the one that ultimately shipped, and I can confirm that's exactly what I received. I'll just leave that there.

Photos really don't capture how soft this bag feels. The P9 isn't meant to be rigid or perfectly structured. It slouches, folds, and relaxes in a way that makes it feel lived in rather than precious. For a bag that's become such a statement piece, there's something refreshingly effortless about it. Ironically, the more understated this all-black version is, the more luxurious it feels to me. It doesn't scream at you; It quietly reminds you and that's what completely changed my opinion of the brand.

The Speedy wasn't the only package that arrived on my doorsteps recently. Sitting beside it is a pair of Lo3 Toggle Sandals that, in a strange way, tell the second half of this story.

Because while the Speedy changed my opinion of a brand, the sandals changed the way I think about buying luxury altogether.

Back in May, I walked into retail fully prepared to buy these sandals. I tried them on, loved them immediately, and mentally paired them with just about every summer outfit I owned but shortly thereafter, I found myself in the lux rep world.

By then I'd already bought a few things from Lucky, and something about the way he does business had earned my trust. If I ask about a bag or a pair of shoes that he doesn't think is worth buying, he'll simply tell me no. No sales pitch. No "best quality." Just... no and sometimes it feels like a virtual slap on my hand comes with that no. Oddly enough, that's one of the reasons I keep buying from him.

When I asked about the Toggle Sandals, he gave me his approval, lol. He asked for my measurements, explained they'd be made to order, and that was that. This ended up being my third purchase with him in a month, which probably says more than any glowing recommendation I could write.

When they arrived, I immediately thought of one of my favorite Carrie Bradshaw lines:

Men, I may not know. But shoes... shoes, I know.

The leather felt supple, the heel height was exactly right and the sculptural toggle detail looked just as elegant in person. More importantly, they felt like the same shoe I'd tried on only without the four-figure price tag hanging over my head.

Looking at them next to the Speedy, I realized they had something in common that I hadn't noticed before. Neither piece depends on obvious branding to feel luxurious. The Speedy won me over with its leather. The shoe won me over with its design. And maybe that's what my collection is becoming. Less about logos. More about craftsmanship and so it turns out, the hunt really was worth it.

The Review

Quality: 9.7/10

The leather on this bag is THAT GIRL. It's soft, supple, smells like leather, and is developing a beautiful natural slouch. The chain has a nice weight to it, the quilting is consistent, and overall the bag feels luxurious in hand.

The only quality issue on my bag was some slightly wavy stitching on the back seam. It's not something anyone would ever notice while I'm carrying it, but I noticed it during QC and wish it had been caught before the bag was shipped.

Accuracy: 9.4/10

Overall, I think Black Frame did a fantastic job on this bag. The silhouette, leather, construction, and proportions are excellent.

My biggest criticism was the hardware.

Indoors it looked beautiful, but in direct sunlight (gasp) the gold pulled a little too bright and yellow for my taste.

Hardware Tip

If your Black Frame hardware feels a little too "cheesy" or overly yellow, here's what worked for me.

First, I used Wright's Cooktop Cleaner, which toned down the mirror-like shine significantly.

I still wanted a softer gold, so I very lightly used Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser in tiny sections. Very lightly is the key. Too much pressure will remove the finish, so I constantly checked my progress before moving to the next section.

The end result is exactly what I was hoping for; a softer, muted gold that looks much more refined and expensive.

Proceed at your own risk, but I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. I've included an after photo for anyone who's curious but the picture doesn’t do it any justice. It’s absolutely gorgeous in person.

Satisfaction: 9.8/10

After carrying it for a few days now and adjusting the hardware, it's become one of my favorite pieces in my collection. I would absolutely purchase Black Frame again and would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a high-quality Jamie.

Seller Experience

Lucky was responsive throughout the process, communication was easy, and shipping was exactly as expected.

That said, I do want to be fair. I was disappointed that the wavy stitching wasn't identified during QC. It's something I feel should have been pointed out so I could make an informed decision before shipping.

I shared that feedback with him directly because I think good sellers should continue improving, especially for repeat customers.

Despite that, I'm already working with Lucky on my next purchase. I enjoy working with him, appreciate his communication, and believe building long-term relationships with good sellers is valuable.

Overall, I'm very happy with both the bag and the experience.

Mew Mew vs Loe Sandals: Which would you buy for summer?

I've been building my summer wardrobe and keep going back and forth between these two styles.

For anyone who owns either rep pair or even if you've just considered them; which would you choose and why?

Interested in:

• Comfort
• Quality
• Wearability
• Which feels/looks more luxurious in person

I already have my TS so I am not looking for seller recommendations, just honest opinions from people who have purchased these.

Show me yours in the comments if you have them please and thank you!

u/Lucylucyluxeliving — 2 months ago

Has anyone purchased either of these sandals? Curious about quality and wearability.

I've been building out my summer wardrobe and keep coming back to these two styles.

For anyone who owns either reps(or both), what has your experience been?

I'm specifically interested in:

  • Overall quality
  • Comfort for extended wear
  • How well they hold up over time
  • Whether they look and feel luxurious in person

I already have my TS so I am not looking for seller recommendations, just honest opinions from people who have purchased the reps.

If you've owned either style, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Bonus points if you've compared them side-by-side.

Show me yours in the comments if you have them please and thank you!

What's the biggest factory myth you've learned after buying reps for a while?

I'm newer to the rep world and one thing I've noticed is that certain factories get recommended almost automatically.

For those who have been buying reps for years, what factory reputation turned out to be overrated or underrated once you actually owned the bags?

NOT looking for seller recommendations, I'm just curious what experiences surprised you.
