Looking to camp now... but have a slight problem.

I'm 26 years old. I would be traveling with my wife and 6 year old son. I am currently finishing up my last year of nurse practitioner school and me and the wife are eyeing a class A RV once my income allows.

For now though, I have a year left, and my wife and I love going on camping trips (car camping mostly).

We are looking at buying something we can afford now, and upgrading into a class A when I graduate. I have a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that has a tow rating of about 5000 lbs.

What is the best option for something now? I have looked at cheaper pop up campers or travel trailers I can tow and pay cash for until we are ready for the upgrade.

How to get past Div 13?

I'm currently Division 13, something I'm struggling with is winning consistently. I'll win a fight, lose a fight. I struggle with dealing with pressure fighters and staying patient and defending. I try to mix in the wrestling and do well on the ground, but in the stand up it's kinda 50/50. Any tips?

Looking at a Class A... buying advice regarding age?

So I made a post a few days ago about how my wife and I were looking at purchasing a Class C RV. After research and walking through a Class A and comparing them, we have decided on a class A motorhome.

A few priorities in our search:

- We have a 6 year old son, so we prefer an over cab bunk for him.

- We don't want to buy new.

- We want a diesel pusher.

I have been looking at older Beaver RVs because they have a good reputation for quality builds, but I am a bit concerned because every one that I can find a good price on is over 20 years old. I know that it comes down to how well the rig has been maintained, and I have been given advice to pursue a certified RV inspection before ever buying one.

This being said, if you were new to the RV world again, what years would you look at specifically? Any brands that you'd prefer over the next? Why? Facebook marketplace reliable, or should I look elsewhere?

Thinking of buying a Class C...

I'm 25 with a wife and son. My wife and I love to travel. We are done with the resort style vacations. We'd rather buy a motorhome, go on the road, make memories with our family camping in different places, etc.

We are renting a class C and taking a small trip just to see if we like it.

For those of you with a class C, any advice? We are looking at models that are a few years old with low miles to take advantage of the depreciation pricing.

Edit: We are now looking at a used class A after walking through one today.

Camera failed S25 Ultra Fix?

Everytime I open the camera app, it says Camera Failed.

I have restarted the phone, reset camera app settings, cleared cache, and smacked the back of my camera as some say that has worked.

Any fixes to this issue? I've had it multiple times now.

Flying from WV to FL in 3 days, trying propranolol for the first time. Any tips?

I've done some trial doses at home and propranolol has helped me immensely with the physical symptoms of my anxiety.

My biggest fear is passing out on the plane. I have never passed out in my life. I have flown several times in my life, and I get derealization especially during takeoff like, oh, this is the point of no return. I do certain safety behaviors like tapping my chest, moving my head, etc.

I recently got prescribed propranalol for my anxiety, and it has worked at home and in different anxious situations. Curbs the physical symptoms of anxiety. I have nailed down that I am not necessarily afraid of flying, but I'm anxious about the physical symptoms of anxiety around flying. Does anyone have any tips for me? I have a two hour flight coming up on Saturday.

KJV compared to other translations?

Hi,

So, I know some people swear by the KJV. I don't agree with the the KJV-onlyist view, and I believe the best Bible translation is simply the one that you can read. But I personally love the KJV and I have a question.

I know there is some controversy regarding how the KJV contains verses that were based on more modern transcripts, rather than the older manuscripts that versions like the NIV and NASB. That said, I've also seen people say "older" manuscripts don't necessarily mean "better", and that the KJV is superior. What is the general concensus on this? Everything I see is that the more modern meaning for meaning translations have removed some select verses that are in the KJV either completely or placed them in the footnotes.

I am a Baptist who has researched the apostolic traditions for over a year. In the grand scheme of things, I know this isn't as long as some people research them, and I am definitely not closing the door on reading church history. I probably won't ever.

But after looking into the apostolic traditions, I can see why the Reformation needed to happen. And honestly, it encourages my heart. I don't understand why Catholics especially criticize us Protestants for being "always reforming". I think there is something beautiful about the Church when we can admit where we have erred and reform it.

Some of the hangups I've had in my studies so far:

  1. No salvation outside of the Catholic church.

- I was watching Luther (2003) yesterday and heard a quote from Martin Luther in the movie that said "There is salvation outside the Catholic church, but not outside of Christ" I couldn't agree more. I don't know if this is a historically accurate quote, but it certainly is true.

  1. Transubstantiation

- I hold a Spiritual Real Presence view. I also am very troubled by the fact that the Catholics teach you have to have the Eucharist in the Catholic church or it isn't valid.

  1. Papacy and Marian dogma.

- Self explanatory.

I am grateful for my brothers and sisters in Christ, both in the apostolic and reformed traditions. May we all focus on Christ and praise His holy name!

Hi brothers and sisters,

I pray you all are well. I am in the market for a Reformation study bible, and I would like to read insights from Martin Luther, John calvin, etc. I have seen several posts about the Reformation study Bible, can someone provide me the link to the exact one that you are talking about?

Thank you!

Hi you guys,

I am a reformed Baptist. I'm a youth minister in my church, and I have been doing extensive research on the Eucharist. I have come to the conclusion that it is not merely a symbol, but rather I am a firm believer in Real Presence.

Naturally, this has led me to reading Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation and the Reformers views of Spiritual Presence.

I have had Catholics tell me that my salvation is at stake because I have not partaken in a valid Eucharist and that I need to become Catholic. My belief is that John 6 is talking about the reality of putting your faith in Christ as well as speaking metaphorically about the Eucharist (which hadn't been instituted at that time). Part of me knows Christ is pleased with me because I am looking deeper, and it gives me peace knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, there He is with us.

Now, the real anxiety is because of the fact that I believe in a real presence view, and my Baptist Church teaches a symbolic view. And the Catholics teach that if I have this knowledge of real presence and am convicted of it, I need to join the Catholics or else be judged because I rejected Christ by rejected the "valid" Eucharist. One even quoted when Christ was talking to the man who said "Let me bury my father first" to which Jesus responded "Let the dead bury their own dead," and told me that my reasons for not converting were worldy.

I do get comfort in knowing most of the Reformers held to a Real presence view while also staying protestant, but I am unsure of what to do. Any advice for me?
