ClassPass charged me for reactivation ‘trial’ but refused to give me the credits
Got an email from ClassPass to reactivate my ClassPass at promotional price of $1 for 14 days. I was like, okay why not? I installed back ClassPass, reactivated and paid $1.
After that, I was unable to book any classes because ClassPass said I was ineligible for any reactivation trial. Obviously, I felt that was ridiculous if not why would they send me the reactivation email for?
I contacted the help centre to enquire. They said I was actually not eligible for any reactivation trial and they would not honour it despite charging me, and by choosing to use their service, I agreed to their terms and conditions including agreeing to have my card charged.
They also tried to come up with some bullshit to say it was just an pre-authorisation charge and no actual money had been transacted. I showed them my bank statement and even ClassPass’s own “recent charge” statement to show the transaction was reflected. That was when they admitted the charge actually went through BUT as per their terms of use, I have allowed ClassPass to charge me even though they will not honour it.
Summary: $1 is an insignificant sum but I just feel it is such a sham. They sent me an email to ask if I wanted to reactivate at $1. After I did, they refused to honour it and said I have agreed to their T&C by agreeing to activate, meaning they are able to freely charge my card on their system without refund or honouring the advertisement as per their T&C.
The most funny part is after they refused to honour the reactivation trial and I told the help centre to terminate the ‘trial’ membership. Immediately after that, a pop-up came up on my ClassPass again to ask if I wanted to do the exact same reactivation trial for $1 again. LOL no idea if they’re just trolling me on purpose when I saw the pop-up.
Is Singapore Airlines even worth it anymore?
Like what the title says, is SQ even worth it anymore?
Prices seem exorbitant compared to other carriers, sometimes even double against other full service carriers like Emirates, Qatar, Cathay, Korean Air, ANA, etc.
Doesn’t help that SIA Group now has full monopoly over our market and it seems like SG government has no plans to allow or may have blocked foreign carriers from setting up bases here to protect our national interest (SIA), which is honestly very ironic considering how SG is so big on “competition act” and anti-competition watchdogs.
Miles have also been devaluing by quite a bit while the Group’s profit have been breaking new records.
Do locals prefer to take SQ or indifferent to the choice of carrier?
How to resign without offending my boss?
I started a new role not too long ago doing sales for CRM softwares. It is a SME that has been around for quite some time, like more than 5 years.
I got no clue whether am I being taken advantage of or what. The company does not provide a working laptop so I am forced to buy a personal laptop to work which by the way it is damn expensive these days like easily 1.5k and above. CRM softwares obviously have to be used on laptop so that the customer can see, so if no laptop then how sia? I was not informed about this laptop requirement, only like 1 day before starting work then the HR told me.
So i was like ok…so I got my own laptop. Turns out the company does not provide MS 365 and the job requires the use of MS Word and MS Excel…so great now I gotta buy my own MS365 too.
We do business visits often with customers in our portfolio, or sometimes outside at cafes…and obviously need to buy things for customers right? Like a gift to thank them for being a long-time supporter or a drink so that we can sit at starbucks while discussing. All these are not reimbursed too so I need to pay out of my pocket.
To do business development, the company should have set aside a sum of money for lead gen budgeting. Like SEO, digital marketing (fb ads) all these to make sure there is a constant flow of leads coming in. My company does not have any of this…
I find professional networking very ideal, especially if you want to target business owners. Some people get linkedin premium, some people go networking event, some companies host networking event like at a bar or something, some do tie-ups, etc.
I recently did a tie-up with a clinic and an insurance agency like, if the company is ok to buy my CRM then the company will also get a complimentary screening funded by the insurance agency. There are some costing involved and somehow I had to pay for it myself?
Everyone in the company is forced to buy linkedin premium and I had to pay for my own linkedin premium too? It is not cheap, like US$120/month.
I don’t know man haha I just want to quit but I dont know how to say
How to resign?
Started a new role in a tech SME doing sales for CRM softwares a few months ago and I am seriously not liking it here, and it feels like the company has no resources?
The company does not even provide work laptop, i mean like how do you showcase the tech product if a work laptop is not provided? They asked me to use my own personal laptop lol. I wonder what happens if you don’t have laptop. Tech company but don’t provide laptop is like so ironic.
There is an almost non-existent budget for lead generation, the lead gen budget is $5/month. $5, yes.
No linkedin premium all these too to hunt for leads. I don’t expect to have LI premium but i think the minimum is that the company should designate some funds towards marketing so that there is a stream of leads flowing in? They don’t spend a single cent on marketing.
Right now I’m just using my own money to pay linkedin premium to use sales navigator. Meeting customers also cannot claim expenses from the company…I am not expecting to take grab everywhere i go to meet customers but at the very least I think the company should pay for the customer coffee or something?
Literally 0 benefits.
Oh and, the company doesn’t provide MS 365 as well, so I had to buy my own Microsoft 365 because excel is needed in the job.
I really want to quit la, like i’m so done with this job right now. But I don’t know how to tell my boss because quitting within 2 months is like so fast? I feel bad too.
It was a wonder how such a big agency can just collapse and now getting sued. Anybody in the industry got any scoop or tea as to what is going to happen to him?
