F | 21 | Muslim | Single | USA | Undergraduate student

  1. Height: 4ft 11in

  2. Age Range in prospect: 22-27 years old

  3. Location: currently in Virginia and yes willing to relocate within the US

  4. Nationality: American

  5. Ideal marriage timeline: talk for a few months and involve parents after or earlier if everything clicks! And ideally married within that year.

  6. About me: I am a junior in college studying Community Health. I plan on either doing a radiography program to become a radiology tech or a master's program in genetic counseling to become a genetic counselor, whichever Allah has planned inshAllah.

I would like to think I am warm, compassionate, and empathetic. I love art and reading and picking up different kinds of hobbies. Recently got into tennis for a little bit, I've done crocheting, I love to learn new recipes to cook and enjoy baking! I am also someone who strives to improve my connection with Islam through Quran, prayers, dhikr, and an intention to do everything for the sake of Allah.

  1. Important qualities I look for in a prospect is a strong connection to Islam through praying and an intention to center their life around pleasing Allah. I would love a person who is emotionally mature and soft spoken. Ambition is attractive and overall a man who wants to provide and fulfill his duties as a husband (and of course I will fulfill my duties as a wife inshAllah) while understanding that a marriage takes effort from both sides.

9**. Level of religiosity**: I think I am fairly practicing; I pray most of my prayers (definitely working on this!), I do not wear hijab but dress modestly (try not to show off my figure), do not drink or smoke and never have, and only eat halal.

  1. Level of education: I have a high school diploma and will graduate with my bachelor's in two years inshAllah. Looking for someone who is about to have or already has at least a bachelor's.

  2. Current Job Status: I work part time for a daycare program at an elementary school.

  3. Do you want kids? Yes but only with the right man😭

  4. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time: reading, baking, learning new recipes to cook, art, and try to stay active by working out at home or at the gym.

  5. What are you looking for in a man: a man who fears Allah and has a will to make a marriage work. I would prefer someone born / or mainly grew up in the US for most of their life. I will be transparent and honest, mutual attraction is also important to me and would prefer a man at least 5ft 7in+ (although i know its not everything). I am also willing to provide pictures of myself so you can see if I am someone you find attractive.

  6. Preferred Method of Contact: message me on this account if interested.

Need some advice and wisdom lol

Salam everyone!

I have recently been trying to get married and have been thinking about a dilemma.

As a wife, I would be inclined to take over a larger share of household duties given that my husband will take care of finances inshAllah.

I present two scenarios: my husband makes enough money that if I choose not to work, I dont have to and have time to take of the household and children in the future inshAllah. I know many men either dont care or prefer that if their wife doesnt work, then she will take on a very large portion of chores. But will this make the husband view her wife as less-than because she doesnt work and earn money? And if I dont work, in the case of divorce, I will end up with no finances to fall back on that are my own whereas my husband will have his own finances hes been building. Yes I can go find work at a store or something, but my own career that I've gotten a degree in will be for nothing essentially since I did not work for some time after marriage...?

Scenario two: i choose to work full time while my husband also works full time. I earn money that I am happy to spend on bills and such should my husband not be able to fulfill every financial obligation. However, I tend to get burnt out quickly and feel I cant take care of the household chores as much if I were not working. But if I dont work, I dont have any money to my name and if anything happens like a divorce, I'd end up with no money on my end, similar to scenario 1.

I am conflicted because I know women working is a great achievement especially in today's world, and i support it! But I feel like eventually I may not want to work if I cant balance household duties, and I am afraid to completely depend on a man to take care of me financially because of "what if" scenarios.

What do you guys or girls think is the most ideal scenario, working but burnt out or working less/not working at all but no financial backup? I am a 21 year old female so definitely in need of some guidance inshAllah. JazakAllah Khair!

I fear I have ruined my chances at a strong marriage.

Salam to everyone. I am new to posting on Reddit and everything but I have been dying to just get this off my chest.

I've been in the works of looking for a potential husband, but unfortunately I have a past. Im afraid to say too much but because of my past, I fear of reaching out to brothers (on apps) thinking they will turn me away (rightfully so) when they discover i have a past. I guess im just wondering if any brothers ever think they might give a sister a chance if they can see she has worked to better herself, and what constitutes a better version of someone with a past.

I 100% understand that people deserve a spouse which reflects the other person; and it is totally a person's right to reject someone due to past relationships. I truly truly regret and have made sincere tawba for my sins. I trust in Allah swt, but sometimes I feel hopeless and embarrassed having ruined my future from naive actions.

Please dont come at me im just looking for advice and truth😭I am a 21 yo female btw.
