Amazingly Random Capture
Had an old test tube 1/3 filled with water after moving a queen to a new tube. Left it on the counter for a week and when I came back to finally clean it up a random Campo queen was inside.
Crazy stoked since I’ve been trying to hunt one down for the last couple weeks after rains. Apparently the ant communication network thinks they’ll get good care after I caught a Tapinoma queen who in a week has a massive pile of eggs.

Ohio Nuptials This Morning
Noticed several queens this morning crawling around if you’re in Ohio and looking. Looks like all the rain from the last couple days finally trigged some nuptials.
