Jared Goff: “I’m so happy to be surrounded by so many good players… I’d much rather deal with that and have people think ‘oh, he’s only good because of the players around him’ than have to deal with bad players around me.”

My grandma passed away a couple of days ago. Biggest Lions fan I knew. 💔 Wish she got to see them win a Super Bowl.

She wore the “she loves the D” sweatshirt to church and had no idea what it meant 😂 gonna miss her a lot.

Never forget when 1,058 living, breathing humans wanted the Lions to bench Jared Goff for David Blough or Tim Boyle halfway through 2021

I have made it to the point in my medical education where I am learning about TTP and I feel like my classmates are gonna be confused when I share my notes with them

Mega Mawile in Omega Ruby has gotta be one of the best playthrough Pokemon ever

You get the Mega Stone really early, so you can start using it as soon as you unlock Mega evolution. Fairy/Steel typing is broken, as everyone knows, and it dominates the Dark-type and Dragon-type Elite Four members. It learns Swords Dance and has Huge Power while having great bulk, so you can pretty easily sweep a lot of the game with it. It’s also in the fast experience group so it levels quickly. The only real drawback is that it doesn’t learn STAB moves until the 40s level, but by the time you unlock mega evolution you’ve long unlocked the move reminder and can teach it Play Rough/Iron Head or both, depending on your needs or how many Heart Scales you have. Or you can just use Crunch and still do insane damage. I just finished a playthrough using it for the first time and I was shocked at how dominant it is.

Gleyber Torres is such a valuable member of this team, both for his on field contributions and his leadership. Extend him

The Detroit Tigers, after being 22-38 and dead last in the AL standings at the end of May, are now in the third wild card spot

They have the best run differential, most home runs, and a top 5 record since June 1.

The Tigers (57-60) and Red Sox (64-52) are now tied for the best run differential in the AL (+85).

Been a very interesting couple months for both of these teams. Red Sox are in a much better position than the Tigers, but I don’t think postseason teams would want to face either team right now.

Scott Harris said "that's garbage" that people think there wasn't a bidding war for Tarik Skubal. He said the Tigers could hear "audible pain" from other teams as they added onto their offers. Harris said he believes the Tigers received everyone's best offers, and then got max added on.

Scott Harris: "We explored an extension once. The response I received from Tarik's agent was ... very clear from the exchange what the intentions were, and he deserved it. I expect him to be a free agent."

[Rosenthal] While the Tigers continue to weigh trade offers for a number of their players, the trade of Skubal does not necessarily signal a full-blown sale, according to a person briefed on their plans. Instead, the Tigers will try to “thread the needle” and continue to compete.
