Mount size

How do i get this new dreo fan on? The electrical box is 4inx4in with the mounting screws where the previous fan was screwed being 4 3/4" apart. The old ceilining bracket(bronze) allows up to 5" seperation between screws. New Dreo fan mount(black), the slotted spaces go up to 3 3/4" and the screw holes are 4 1/4".

Any easy fixes?

Upgrading my 15yr old plasma tv setup. Some burn in is getting pretty noticeable now. Most likely will be getting the 83in LG C5 when I find a good deal. Will also be upgrading my HTiB and getting an 5.1 avr as well. Getting rid of gaming consoles and moving to PC gaming/streaming sports/movies. Keeping the HTiB player for bluray collection(non4k).

So the way im visualizing the setup now is:

  1. PC hdmi 2.1 to TV for 4k content. And for gaming 1080 at higher FPS and letting tv upscale. Then arc/earc to avr for audio.

  1. bluray player to avr to tv and letting tv upscale

Questions on buying avr. Im just looking for a 5.1 setup that meets my needs for now.

  1. Seems i wont really need earc at the momemt and arc would do? Could probably get away with optical but do want the functionality of changing avr volume through remote.

  1. If the only video going through avr is 1080p bluray i dont really need anything higher than hdmi 1.4?

Only other feature i would like is bluetooth to play spotify from phone. Could play through pc but would prefer to not HAVEto have tv on. Any receivers that come to mind or website that i can do a search across ALL avrs not just newer ones? Hopefully i did my research right and this makes sense

77in vs 83in from 10.5-13ft

Looking for advice on upgrading to a new tv from a 15yr old 55in plasma. Going to be rearranging living room to place new tv in front of a large window(71"x 53") to avoid the glare. In this new setup the couch can be placed no closer than 10.5ft and no further than 13ft. Looking to spend around 1.5-2k but willing to push it to 2.5k if worth it. Hopefully theres some 4th of July sales coming up. Uses will be sports, movies and PC gaming. I have an Nvdia card so looking for Gsync which is why im going LG. Thinking about the 77in C5 or 83in C4.

  1. For anyone that sits this far away, thoughts on TV size

  2. How much of a difference are the newer processors making? Little worried about going bigger screen with older processors and sacrificing image quality
