Looks like I’m making a friend Tuesday afternoon!

Booked this last week. Was curious if anyone else was going to see it. Someone decided they want to sit right next to me.

That or they think I’ll move out of awkwardness. Too bad for them, I don’t mind.

Discovered putty to fix leaking p trap. Can I just have right side replaced?

As the title says, I discovered putty was used and I also noticed an indentation on the inside of the circled fitting. I’m assuming it was used to cover the leak it causes. Figured it’s best to replace.

I have a plumber coming over anyways tomorrow that was recommended by my hvac company to clear a clogged line (also glued connection)

Figured I’d as him for a quote on this but curious if only the right side can be replaced. Never used the guy before so I don’t want to blindly trust him.

I never leave a tip at check out, but I always add one after delivery.

I’ve found that when i did Uber Eats a lot of batched orders would have one decent tip paired with a non tipper. The non tipper would never add one after the delivery was complete.

I’ve assumed walmart grocery deliveries were the same. I figured Walmart might pair it with a tipping order or increase the base pay. But i always leave a tip after drop off.

Is my logic correct?

2012 Lexus IS350 AC issues

Every once in a while my rear defrost blinks and then when the ac finally cuts on about 70% of the time the drivers side blows warm.

Happens intermittently, but seems to mainly be on warmer days. When it does happen sometimes it’ll fix itself with a restart and other times it takes multiple restarts.

Anyone have experience with this issue?

Car runs solid at 150k besides this. Is it worth spending the money to fix?

Service advisor knew I left unhappy, did he circumvent me getting a survey?

I posted earlier this week about a dealer not honoring their quote for a transmission drain and fill.

I noticed during the visit I never received the usual vehicle status or the inspection report to sign off on. And when my car was ready he called me to let me know it was ready and to pay at the cashier.

Every other time they met me in the waiting room to explain the inspection and walk me to the cashier to pay. I have yet to receive the survey that I always get a day or so after service.

Is it possible he removed me from the system to avoid a negative survey?

Text quote for a transmission drain and fill was apparently off by $200. Dealer won’t honor it.

Am I crazy to think they should honor the price I was quoted?

I was quoted $205 plus tax. Dealer is saying “oh no, it should be at least $400” and won’t honor. Even tried to bullshit me with “that wouldn’t even cover parts”

Local Indy quoted $279 plus tax. Only came to the dealer for the $39.99 oil chance special.

This is for a 2022 RX350.

Edit to add:
this was at Lexus Southwest Houston.

Shout out to Clear Choice for being a fair priced Indy specializing in Lexus!

Edit 2: so in the end I never got the usual text about the inspection summary. Nor did I ever get the usual vehicle progress text.

I’m curious if they are trying to circumvent the survey that gets sent out after service knowing I would likely leave a bad review.

Don’t forget to protest your taxes every year!

Just woke up to an email from Ownwell that they successfully lowered my tax bill. Just a friendly reminder to always protest. It cost you nothing if unsuccessful.

Shameless referral link bellow:

Edit: this all completely doing on your own if you want to save the 25% fee. Google has plenty of guides and tips.
