Was at the newer Starbucks by freshco transcona waiting for a friend when a car pulls up in the accessible spot puts her flashers on and comes inside with her skip bag. Barista told her it’s going to be a while as it was busy. Friend showed up, she sat down so i approached the skip driver and told her she can’t park in that spot without a permit, she says i am just picking up an order and i said i did not care that she was parked illegally and she had to move her car. She said « right now » and I said « yes right now ». So she moved it. She waited 15 mins for the order and in that time someone who needed the spot used it and then left, 4 more delivery drivers parked in it with flashers on to pick up orders. If I was working there i would happily tell them to move their vehicle before they will give them the order.

As a side note my friend uses accessible parking but when she arrived the female skip driver was parked in the spot so she found close enough that she could walk without too much difficulty.

She couldn’t believe I confronted the driver. I couldn’t believe that nobody else does. The entitlement is real.

Coming down for the day tomorrow and want to find a good spot to eat! Not Big Smoak.

Does anyone know the brand of the stair climber they have in the club? I know, weird question but I want to do some research before I step on and embarrass myself lol.

I have a dog that I want to be trained to be an ESA for a treatment program. She is a rottie and can be reactive and anxious at first but is a bit lump of sweetness. Anybody local who can help with this. No negative comments please as I just want to work with someone who can tell me if this is possible.

Anybody see the fender bender around 735 this morning at the yield sign going eastbound regent from
Northbound lag? Damage to car hit from behind was minimal but airbag on car who hit her was deployed and woman inside was howling….had window open. Doesn’t make sense as would have been low speed unless the responsible vehicle didn’t slow down at the yield at all….

Staying at the Country Inn and Suites by MOA. Where can we eat and watch the game that is not in our room at the hotel? TGI Fridays? Any others?

Somewhere with great coffee, adequate table space and no issues with sitting for an hour or two so that I can write some cards. Not Empty Cup as that’s my usual…prefer south side of city between Pembina and Lag or downtown/st b.

Drove past an accident on portage avenue this morning right in front of GGH: light standard was down and at least one of the drivers was an elderly man. Just wanted to know if he is okay..he was standing outside of his vehicle and a bystander was assisting him. All except the light post was cleared up when we drove past again just over an hour later.
