Does anybody know what font is used for the page headers in the novels?

I feel insane, I’ve been searching for hours. Google lense and whatthefont were no help. Please, reddit. You’re my only hope.

Republic Commando: Soldiers of Fortune (Cover Art)

Howdy, fellas! Long time lurker here, but I made something I’d like to share. I’ve been working on a Republic Commando fan novel, and today I made a cover for it. The assets are from various artists on sketchfab, background is a screencap from BoBF.

The story revolves around Onyx Team, and Alpha ARC Jester, infiltrating the sovereign city Glavis, also known as the Glavis ringworld (as seen in the BoBF.)

A CIS cell is known to be operating somewhere on the ring, but exactly where is unclear. Onyx Team is tasked with finding and capturing the leader of this cell for questioning without alerting the Glavis Port Authority, or the CIS cell itself. If Glavis authorities discover the operation, it could cause a major political incident. Complications arise, as they always do in the field, and Onyx Team is forced to rely on members of the criminal underworld to complete their mission.

Im not sharing the writing as of yet, but I thought this community might enjoy the art.

Kamino Sim Exercise (Practice Match 400pt)

Battle Report

Tipoca City, Kamino
Training Facility 17, Situation Sim Floor
438 Days After the Battle of Geonosis

Participants:
- 212th Attack Battalion, “Silver Team” cadets, Lead by Commander Brax
- Commander Brax
- AT-RT
- Clone Infantry, DP-23, Clone Captain
- Clone Marksan, Mortar, Clone Captain
- Coruscant Guard cadet, “Neon Team”, Lead by Jedi Master Akoon (Volunteer Command)
- General Akoon
- AT-RT
- 2x Clone Infantry
- ARC team

Objective: Secure payloads, suppress enemy forces while awaiting extract.

Observed by Training Sgt. Walon Vau, Report by Chief Scientist Ko Sai.

Begin Report:

This training mission was set up between two unfamiliar teams of clones. Neither team was made aware that they would be facing other clone subjects in this exercise, aside from Jedi Master Akoon. Silver team took an early advantage in round one, after Neon Team deployed out of cover, Incapacitating three of four combatants in one infantry squad with their AT-RT. The surviving member retreated to the opposite front to support their General.

Both Clone forces deployed armor in the western quadrant, but Neon Team backed their armor with ARC troopers, dealing massive damage to Silver Team’s walker early in the exercise. Despite all odds, Silver Team’s AT-RT survived the engagement and went on to secure the central objective.

Meanwhile in the Eastern quadrant, Brax took a vantage position atop a structure, issuing orders and calling out shots while focusing his fire on priority targets. Vau noted that he clearly trained directly with Commander Cody, a poignant observation. Brax was supported by a squad on infantry and marksman. Both squads fought with discipline and maintained their positions.

General Akoon lead an assault down the center, leading his remaining team of clone infantry. While initial positioning was uncertain, through sheer ferocity, Akoon and his men pressed the objective and forced Brax and his men into hand to hand combat.

Before being drawn into the brawl, Brax called a well timed air support, finishing both the remaining infantry and the walker on the opposite front, allowing his own AT-RT, although badly damaged, to hold the primary objective. Neon Team’s one remaining ARC maintained control of the western objective, despite constant fire.

Brax wore down General Akoon through sustained fire, but lost the entirety of his infantry squad, and most of his marksman to the Jedi before subduing him in hand to hand combat. This outcome was a surprise, but a point of pride for the cloning program. Still, survival rates can be improved in regards to combating force users. Sergeant Vau seemed to take a twisted pleasure in the exchange, noting that “Stuck up Di’kut had it coming.”

After the general was subdued, the remainder of the exercise devolved into hand to hand combat. While Silver Team was successful in securing the objective, the victory was not decisive. Both teams held advantage throughout the match, both teams showed skill, ferocity and tactical prowess.

Vau’s professional opinion: “They’re no Delta Squad, thats for sure. But they’re fine soldiers, all of them. Could have gone either way. Any man that can take on a Jedi, even in training, and walk away is as good as mando’ade in my book.”

Recommendation: positioning drills for Neon Team, Hand to Hand combat drills for Silver team.

Report Findings: Acceptable performance, all participants.

End Report

Victory… But at What Cost?

I played a particularly cinematic game of legion in my Growth League today and just wanted to share my battle report. It was 400pts, and both teams took massive casualties. Objectives were Close the Pocket and Bring them to Heel.

Mission Report by CT-2838, Captain “Redd”
Marksman, Longbow Team, 212th Attack Battalion

Keldabe, Mandalore
38 Days after the Purge

Begin report:

After the purge, Gar Saxon was given control of the Mandalorian Government. It was the sensible choice, but it caused… some contention amongst the locals. Apparently it was the wrong call, according to some of the boys. I’ve been told I should care, that deep down I’m mandalorian, too. But the truth is, I don’t. I have no clan. I’m a soldier, and I have a job to do.

We were sent to Mandalore to quell some dissidence that was brewing in Keldabe, a group of militant isolationists. The 332nd had their hands full with Sundari, and given the terrain around the city, the Armor of the 212th was more suited to suburban combat. When we arrived, things were quiet. I thought we may get off easy, secure the area and await orders. Were it so simple…

They appeared like Xenu from the woodline, all claws and teeth. Clan Wren. Twenty or so, by my count. Technically we were never allies, but they had been fighting alongside the 332nd only a standard month ago. Rover took the first shot with his Rotary Cannon, wiped three of them before they even touched the ground, but Mandalorians are something else. Like they weren't even phased. They put a rocket right into Rover’s faceplate, took out our only AT-RT for 3 klicks.

The rest was a bloodbath. Command told us to grab the weapons cache and bug out. Silver team secured point Besh. They held it to the bitter end. No survivors. I posted my men on top of a nearby structure to lay down suppressive fire. Cody took his post with us. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here. He fought like a demon, like… Well like an ARC. He put down as many Mandos as the rest of my team combined. I watched him shoot down 4 mandos in 2 seconds flat. But it wasn’t enough.

When Silver team fell, Cody charged Besh, and sent Longbow to Cresh. Aurek was already lost. Thats when I saw her. Ursa, one of the Wren heavy hitters. She was the War Party Captain. Cody put three rounds into her at point blank, and she hardly blinked. Put a vibroknife right under his breastplate. Once he was down, all bets were off. We put everything we had into her, and then some. She went down, but no confirmed kill. I give it fifty fifty that monster walks it off.

As the ranking officer, I called in evac. We grabbed what we could, Cody included, and threw it into the Larty. Any longer and we were Ackley Food. Cody is in critical condition. The rest are dead. My team - not a scratch. I honestly don’t know how to feel about it. Command is calling it a mission success, but… These pencil pushers just.. They just don't know what it’s like down here, the death, the screaming, the gurgling of your brothers’ last breath on an open comm. If this is victory… Then I don’t want it.

End report.

Clone Army - 6
Clan Wren - 5

Longbow Squad, Phase 1 Marksmen

1st battle of Geonosis, 22BBY (Colorized)

u/MAD_MAL1CE — 15 days ago

Just started messing around with blender this week. Here is my very first render!

I couldn’t figure out how to get the polygons not to render on the model, despite it looking smooth in the viewport. Will keep working on that.

Question about melee engagement

Had this situation recently at an LGS. I have a group of clone infantry get annihilated by a super squad, leaving only the unit leader. I do the reasonable thing and charge him into engagment (after pot shotting at luke, so no melee attack just engagement.)

So question 1: when I do this does that force the enemy unit to close ranks around my remaining unit?

Question 2: if the answer to the previous question is no, if the enemy unit then decides to melee my unit, and they are already engaged, do they then have to wrap up? Or can they make a melee attack without moving their minis?

Final question: can only the units in base contact make the melee attack? If they have a ranged weapon with melee range, like arc troopers, can they all attack regardless of all being in base contact?

Thanks in advance.
