Has anyone successfully shipped a few cans of BC beer to Europe?

Hey!
I’m currently living in Vancouver and I want to send my parents in Germany a package with some local BC/Canadian products.
I’d really like to include a few cans of local beer, maybe 10-12 cans. I already asked at a liquor store, but the staff weren’t sure whether or how this can be shipped internationally.
Has anyone here actually shipped beer from BC to Germany (or Europe) before? Is there a legal/practical way to do it as a private person, or a local store/brewery that can ship it for me?
Thanks!

Problems with activating a voucher

I just started using the app to order my groceries online and since 30CAD with the voucher for free orders is extremely worth it in my opinion I thought I should buy the year pass. But after I activate the voucher and add my credit card it still says 100$ per year. Does it not show the discount on my screen or is it not really activated? Because I’m afraid I will pay $100 after activating the pass

Looking for any full time job in the Vancouver area

I arrived in Vancouver last week on a working holiday visa. My plan is to stay in the city for a year and then move on. I tried signing up online for Starbucks and Tim Hortons. I went into multiple cafes in downtown and left my resume but everyone was saying that they are currently not hiring.
I would take every Café, Restaurant etc. in the area but as far as I know my chances are not looking good

Any tips for finding an entry-level job in Vancouver?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in Vancouver on a Working Holiday visa from Germany and I’m planning to stay for about a year.

I’ve recently started looking for a job and have been handing out my résumé in person as well as applying online. The problem is that I can barely find any places that are actually hiring. Most businesses tell me they aren’t looking for staff at the moment, even if they keep my résumé for the future.
I’ve seen a few cheap fast food chains advertising jobs, but apart from that it feels surprisingly difficult to find places that are actively hiring.
I did apply online for multiple Tim Hortons stores but I’m not sure if this will work.

Is this normal right now, or am I missing something?
Also, would you recommend looking outside of Downtown? I live a bit south of Downtown and I’m wondering if I’d have better luck applying around my local area instead of focusing on Downtown.

I’m open to pretty much anything: cafés, restaurants, retail, hotels, customer service, etc.
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Working Holiday in Vancouver – chances of getting a Starbucks job quickly?

Hi everyone,
I’m arriving in Vancouver on a Working Holiday visa in mid-July and will be looking for work right away.
One of my main ideas is applying for Starbucks as a barista. I’m 19, speak fluent English, have customer service experience from working at a gas station in Germany, and I’m available full-time.
How realistic is it to get hired at Starbucks shortly after arriving? Would you recommend applying online, in person, or both? And are there other entry-level jobs that are easier to get in Vancouver right now?
Thanks!

DualSense Edge stick feels rough near the edge

My left DualSense Edge stick feels rough when I move it in a circle near the outer edge of its travel. No stick drift, just noticeable friction/resistance at the maximum range.
I removed the stick module and found this wear ring on the stick shaft (photo attached).

Has anyone had the same issue? Is there a way I could fix this/not make it as worse?
Thanks!

Users are shown as @18383727?

The server I’m in is using a bot for a Queue. The thing works great but sometimes the users are shown as a bunch of random numbers and I can’t see who’s actually in there. Is there a way I can see the name behind the numbers?

Hey everyone,

I’m using the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Pro mainly on PS5 and I’ve been running into an issue with the microphone that I can’t really fix.

When the mic is positioned close to my mouth, my voice sounds very bass-heavy and kind of “boomy” (almost like too much proximity effect). But if I move it just a little bit away, it suddenly sounds like I’m far away or not present enough anymore.

So it feels like there’s no real “sweet spot”:

- Close → too bassy / muddy
- Slightly away → thin and distant

On top of that, my mic level on the PS5 is already set to the lowest possible setting, because otherwise it’s way too loud.

I’m using a Fosi Audio DAC connected to the PS5, not plugging the headset in directly.

Has anyone else experienced this with the MMX 300 Pro?
Is this normal behavior for this mic or am I missing some kind of setup trick (positioning, angle, etc.)?

Would really appreciate any tips!

In 2018, I was playing Fortnite (solo, EU servers) and randomly killed someone in my lobby who I knew in real life (same town, also on my friends list).

Assumptions:

- ~100 players per match
- Estimated 500k–2M concurrent players in EU at that time
- We likely played at similar times and had similar skill level
- I knew about 30 people from real life who played Fortnite as well

I know my numbers are only estimated but maybe someone here can calculate the odds

If you need more information feel free to ask  :)
