Questions about Brno

Hello, I'm taking my 10 y.o. son to the race this weekend. We have tickets for one of the grandstands. The plan is to watch all qualifying sessions and all races. Can anyone help me with these?

  1. What time should I target for the arrival by car on Saturday and on Sunday?

  2. Does grandstand ticket allow to use general access area around the track?

NGD - Heylmun's RR24-7

Picked it up last week. Not very popular I think so I wanted to share first impressions. Plus a family photo as a bonus.

  1. No major QC issues at first glance. Paint looks good, wood feels heavy and hard enough or guitar to make solid impression. I.e. it does not feel like a toy.

2.The only thing I have noticed are small marks on one of the locking nut parts.

  1. Fretwork is good.

  2. It was setup okayish but I need to set it up properly. Neck relief is a bit too big, and the factory strings are too floppy for my liking. So before that it is difficult to really assess how it plays. So I don't know yet how well this FR performs. But the neck feels ok in hand, it is rather flat.

  3. It is my second new guitar with FR1000, and screwed in arm is once again crap, buzzes all the time - even screwed in stiff. Push-in is a must upgrade.

  4. Overall it does feel a bit... cheap. Lack of binding and whole thing being black gloss does not look premium. I would go as far as to say it is not very pretty in person (however i got one with a pretty ebony fretboard). I think the headstock is the worst part in this context. You can see at the last photo it is not my first V and all other guitars feel more premium and high quality. Solar 2.6 included. But this guitar was refretted with stainlesss frets, had changed tuners, nut and pickup so it is not really 2.6 any more.

Overall - no regrets so far, considering this was the only RR with 26.5 scale at a price that was acceptable . But I think it should cost a bit less.

I can't wait for the strings to arrive so I can really test it. Recommend me some good drop A riffs to start things!

Since I already made an idiot of myself, I'll share NGD

So far I have no comments regarding quality, all seems good. But I need to work on the setup so later I'll know more!

What did I get with new Jackson?

No idea what it is.

Edit: I got it, strap locks after all. They are so different to what I usually use that I assumed it must be something else!

For context, I started to listen to deathcore couple of years back with bands such as lorna shore, shadow of intent, disembodied tyrant etc.

But I am a bit tired with it. While last SoI album is good, I think it is too long really for example.

Whitechapel, on the other hand, released IMO a perfect album. Heavy, but you can hear the guitars, there are groovy parts, there are walls of sound, but it does not feel over produced to me. It is also atmospheric without throwing orchestral parts at the listener all the time. Vocals are great, compositions too, and it is not the same tune all the time. I love it. I believe it is a huge step in comparison to their previous record.

I would like to hear more of this. Can you recommend me something? Anglemaker is one band I suppose you may suggest, and I am already checking them out. What else?
