Trying to find a good affordable 40x30x20 bag without a laptop pocket.

Hello there. I've been browsing bag stores, trying to spot a comfortable, affordable, bottle-pocket, and reliable 40x30x20 bag for a two-week trip as part of my new minimalism challenge.

I've checked out many bags, but almost all of them have the same style, featuring a laptop pocket that takes up a large part of the main compartment. Come on, it's only 20 cm, and as a backpacker, I usually don't need to carry my laptop!

Even though it has a bottle pocket and no laptop pocket, I now feel I have to compromise on comfort and budget, which are the most important factors for backpackers!

Why is it so difficult? 😅

Finding the best 40x30x20 bag

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to find the best 40 × 30 × 20 cm bag under $50.

I’m looking for something without a dedicated laptop compartment, so I can maximize the packing space. I’m taking a two-week trip and have a bit of a challenge ahead of me: fitting enough clothes into a bag of this size.

I was about to order the CabinZero backpack, but I’ve heard that some people mentioned that it isn’t the most comfortable option, especially when fully packed.

My main priorities are capacity first, then comfort. My next trip will involve visiting five cities and a lot of walking,

so comfort is really important to me, especially if the bag ends up weighing around 6–8 kg.

Do you have any recommendations or ideas?

Under-seat Trolly bag from Wow Travel, anyone tried it?

Hello there,

I'm trying to find a small 40x30x20 under-seat bag and came across Wow Travel trolley bag

https://wow-travel.co.uk/products/navy-ryanair-cabin-bag-40x30x20cm-wow-travel

Has anyone tried it?

I like it because it's 40cm tall without the wheels, so I think it takes up the whole storage space right, isn't it?

Do you recommend it over backpack?

Because I already have a 45l backpack from Beak Design, but I need this WOW travel trolley bag for short two-week trips.

What are your options?
