What do these numbers mean? (Prosperity rating?)

I think these numbers refer to prosperity but tbh, I don’t understand the different numbers and whether the colour of the number means anything. Can someone shed light on this.

Edit:

So I think the number refers to prosperity/how good it is.

The colour refers to the type of building it is. - green is growth (farms), orange is productivity/cash (mines), red is education/research/administration (schools)

The squares refer to the tier of building it is, if it’s greyed out that means you can build.

Why bank and build won’t work this time.

I’ve seen a few people say we should bank this deal and build for the next lot of IA. This won’t work this time.

We were told, we need to bank and build. “Labour are too strong” “labour won’t back down”, “we need to wait till labour are weaker, bank and build”. And you know what, at the time you could see the point, labour had swept the general elections and were in the ascendancy.

But now…..

They’re squandering their political lead and losing seats up and down the country. They’re facing internal tumolt w two leadership grabs, one from our very own health secretary. labour are weak, and instead of facing this weakness with strength and demanding a strong offer, the current leadership are showing weakness.

THIS was the the time we’ve been waiting for, this is where we need to show strength and conviction. Instead we’re being meek and mild. We’re going to bank and build…

What better opportunity are you going to have to make your point!!!!!

Bank and build for what??? build for an even weaker political party? Please…

Incoming F1s - a way to think about the pay aspect of this deal.

Incoming F1s I hope you’re enjoying your electives and or resting knowing that you’ve passed your exams.

Enjoy these next few weeks prior to F1, they’re your last long summer holidays😭.

The purpose of this post is to explain the pay aspect of this deal to you (incoming F1s), so you have a more informed approach when it comes to voting on whether to accept or reject the deal.

The analogy is this.

You need to think of a ladder, with 5 rungs of the ladder (F1,F2, CT1/2, etc etc), and it’s x height. This ladder represents our pay over the training years.

What this deal does is it adds more rungs to the ladder. Therefore there is a perception of a pay rise relative to each position. WHAT IT FAILS TO DO, is substantially increase the total height of this ladder (i.e x). Therefore presenting it as a pay rise is in my eyes deceptive.

The deal on pay - a useful way to think about it

I’ve been mulling over how to explain the “pay raise” to colleagues who are less chronically online and or on top of new BMA output.

I think I’ve finally realised a nice way to explain it.

In order to understand the pay aspect of this deal.

GPU upgrade for a Lenovo IdeaCentre Tower 08IRR9 (90XS004TUK) - riser cable?

So I’ve had the bright idea to add a GPU to my PC, after reading more about the specs - [here](https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/IdeaCentre/IdeaCentre_Tower_08IRR9/IdeaCentre_Tower_08IRR9_Spec.pdf) I can see it has a max PSU of~260W, so I could add a GTX 3050 6GB.

But upon opening I was met with disappointment as there is no PCE16x slot.

Instead I’ve got what’s on the image- chat gpt has said I should find a riser?

But now I’m out my depth- any help appreciated

Can I add a GPU to existing prebuild

I’ve realised I want a PC primarily to play TW Med, and I don’t really need a 2-2.5K PC w an RTX 5080 right now. So instead I just want to add a GPU to the existing household PC.

This is the PC: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lenovo-ideacentre-desktop-pc-intel-core-i7-1-tb-ssd-grey-10284260.html.

Maybe add a RTX 4060 or 4070. (What would the AMD alternative be, because these cards just have 8GB vram, would 6750XT work?)

But I’m not sure if the Lenovo OEM build would prevent that.

Has anyone had experience with this, and failing that what are the things I should check before deciding and buying the GPU.

£1,500-£2,000 build for high end gaming if possible

Building my first PC, got my first proper job this year and so want to treat myself to something I’ve always wanted to have. I can push the budget a bit higher if needed.

Budget

- 1,500-£2,000

Operating System or Peripherals (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, etc) needed?

- Windows, have a monitor and some old mouse and cheap speakers

Where you are located (to determine if you are near a Microcenter)

UK

Any other personal preferences or requirements (such as overclocking)?

Want to play high end games like crimson desert, care more about frame rate then resolution. But would be nice to sometimes play 4k. Would like to stick with nvidia (but if AMD is better for the price point I’d take it) , and try to gave 16gb vram (if possible).

This one seems good: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildmeapc/s/P4FSUINIWy
