Tintin moon rocket on a budget

Why use more than 1000 bricks, when you can do (about the same) with less than 300 ? Rebrickable user Pao Padrós (@paupadrosrios) has done this years ago, and finally I got me the bricks to build it. Instructions are free at https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-39001

You might find the construction a bit finicky, but if you go on, it will come together nicely in the end. For me it worked better without the short lightsaber blades in the central axle.

Tiny Lego godzilla

Not my own invention, this is a MOC from rebrickable user DinoPete87, who copied it from some photo on flickr. Instructions are here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-28068

Nice and small, no need to use 3000+ bricks for a nice Godzilla.

Bauhaus, Dessau, Germany

If „Bauhaus“ and „Staircase“ makes you think about the painting of Oskar Schlemmer - that is the original. And no, it is not exactly as Schlemmer painted it.

LZ 129 Hindenburg, Zeppelin-Museum, Friedrichshafen, Germany

This is a reconstruction of the writing and reading room on the promenade deck of the LZ 129 Hindenburg. Special lightweight furniture in the Bauhaus design were available for the passengers.
Some of you might remember this room from a movie - „no ticket“!

Mainframe appreciation picture

Nothing technical, just to show that my company has an empty mainframe in the entrance hall, which includes, besides other things, a mini-mainframe made of Lego bricks (and I haven’t found out where they got the printed bricks with the IBM logo).

Hotel in Malaga, Spain

Staircase of a hotel that was formed by connecting two houses in the old city. After connecting, you can‘t expect to produce right angles. Same for the number of stairs…

Planned departure lounge, Berlin, 1948

Don‘t know what kind of departure lounge this should have been. No entrance or exit is visible, and judging by the trees in the foreground the whole building would be enormous.

Büyük Londra Hotel, Instanbul

Build in 1892 overlooking the Golden Horn, this hotel has some old charm. The entrance hall is about six meters high. Unfortunately, is looks like they never really re-decorated, but just kept adding and adding.

Triangular Staircase, Berlin, Germany

Just a random house in Berlin where I had to visit a special physician. Very creaky and in need of some fresh paint (the staircase).

Which one is retro-futuristic?

On the left: a mini, portable radio receiver, Braun company, Germany, 1958.
On the right: some cheap clone…
