planning a backyard patio in kitchener and looking for durable furniture ideas

im in kitchener and finally getting around to building a simple backyard patio to make the most of summer evenings with family. the area gets heavy snow and rain so i need stuff that holds up without constant fixes or replacements every couple seasons. planning for a basic seating area plus table that can handle the weather swings here.

found a patio furniture sale from a canadian brand online and grabbed a modular set with weather resistant cushions since it seemed practical for local conditions. now im trying to figure out the best way to set it up for easy storage in winter and keep it looking good long term.

what local spots or tips worked for you when picking patio furniture in kitchener that lasts through winters? any experiences with specific materials or setups that handle the snow and humidity without issues?

back pain started 8 months ago after lifting at work and nothing helps

my back hurts so bad every day since i lifted something heavy at work 8 months ago. it started with a sharp pain and now its constant ache that makes sitting or standing hard for long. i tried pain pills stretches and even physical therapy but nothing made it better for more than a day or two and im so tired of it messing up my sleep and work.

im thinking about seeing a chiropractor but i read here on reddit that a lot of people say it is a scam and i dont know why. i and spoke with one and said it will work great and help in about 8 to 10 sessions with adjustments and exercises.

why do people call it a scam if this place seems sure it can fix the pain and what should i ask them first?

the silent navigators of the urban night

the pizza driver is a vital yet often invisible thread in the fabric of the modern city running a continuous race against the clock to deliver comfort and sustenance to our doorsteps, they are the solitary travelers of the neon lit streets navigating through pouring rain dense traffic and winding suburban mazes while the rest of the world is settling down for the evening, carrying the unmistakable aroma of melted cheese and baked dough their vehicles become mobile sanctuaries of warmth in the middle of the cold night, it is a profession that requires a unique kind of resilience and an intimate knowledge of the urban landscape knowing every shortcut every broken buzzer and every hidden alleyway by heart, they encounter humanity in its most casual and vulnerable states catching brief glimpses of family dinners late night study sessions and solitary celebrations in the few seconds it takes to exchange a box, despite the pressure of the ticking timer and the unpredictable nature of the road they keep the wheels turning with a quiet dedication ensuring that a hot meal arrives exactly when it is needed most, they are the unsung heroes of the midnight shift proving that even the most ordinary routine is powered by a steady rhythm of human effort and reliable grit

Thinking about getting a popup camper - worth it?

I’ve been looking at popup campers and like the idea of something lightweight and easy to tow.

Not planning anything extreme, mostly weekend trips and short getaways.

For those who have one, does it actually feel worth it long-term or does the setup/pack-down get old?

Even when I spend time on sound selection and mixing, something about it still feels amateur. I’m not sure if it’s the arrangement, sound design, or just lack of experience. I’d be interested to hear what made your tracks finally start sounding more “professional.”

I just finished my first backpacking trip to Iceland last September staying 6 days and basing myself in Reykjavik. I used hostels and public buses to keep things affordable while still seeing a lot. The scenery was absolutely worth it even with cold rain and short days. I booked my golden circle day tour through Guide to Iceland and it ran very smoothly with good value.

Has anyone else backpacked Iceland recently on a budget? What was your average daily spend and any key tips for saving money there?

We talk a lot about loneliness as a social problem, but I've met people with a ton of friends who still feel deeply lonely. And others who spend most of their time alone but feel perfectly fine. So is the real issue external (not enough meaningful relationships) or internal (not knowing or accepting who you are)? Or is it always a mix of both?
