I had surgery on Monday for my Thyroid and my throat is damaged from the intubation! My uvula is literally dangling down to my tongue! It feels like a large piece of skin that flaps back and forth. Is this ok? I’m scared they’ll need to cut it, it’s the weirdest sensation and I cannot stand it. I’m extremely bruised in my throat too. Has anyone experienced this with their uvula?
I (41 yo female) had my thyroid removed Monday. My Uvula is torn and my throat is bruised badly from the intubation tube. My uvula dangles down to my tongue and flaps around. It’s so incredibly uncomfortable and disgusting, hard to talk and eat. What do they do for this? Will I need another surgery?
Anyone experience a torn uvula after anesthesia? What do they do for this?
In 2 weeks I am having surgery to remove the remaining lobe I have. What should I do to prepare? I currently take 50 mcg synthroid, but nothing else. I’m really worried about adjusting completely to life without thyroid. I also have a potential parathyroid tumor so I’m worried about my calcium levels once out of surgery. Any tips/suggestions??
I am a 41 yo. Have never had my sex hormones tested, but definitely think I’m in Perimenopause and have been for years. I also have thyroid issues (previously thyroid cancer and only 1/2 a thyroid). In June 2025 I had a Uterine Ablation due to extremely long and heavy periods. Since June each month I’ve still had a period, it has gotten better (lighter and lasting about 1 day or so) however my last period was 4/14 and today I am spotting. I have an appt w/ my doc tmrw. I’ve not had this symptom before so not sure what to think?
Yes. We are on two different spectrums here. I don’t have a membership and I have tried only the sample workouts from each but loved both. I’m torn bc I wish I could do atleast 3 workouts of each to decide which one is better for me. Or atleast see what the weeks look like and how they’re structured but as a non member I cannot do this.
So anyone have any opinions on these two teams?
