I have a 2020 Mazda CX-5 with the original Mazda Connect (MZD Connect) system, and I’m dealing with ghost touch. It seems to happen much more often when I’m using Apple CarPlay.

I’ve seen that Mazda Connect Firmware 74.00.324A is the latest firmware available for the original MZD Connect system.

For those who have had this issue:
Did updating to 74.00.324A reduce or eliminate the ghost touch?
Or is it almost always a hardware issue that requires replacing the digitizer?

I’d like to know if it’s worth trying the firmware update first before replacing the screen. Thanks!
