QuickBooks Desktop 2024 is NOT being discontinued?

I just came across an update directly from Intuit that surprised me. I thought QuickBooks Desktop 2024 was supposed to be discontinued in May 2027, but apparently that’s no longer the case.

According to Intuit:

QuickBooks Desktop 2024 (including Pro Plus, Premier Plus, and Enterprise Solutions) won’t be discontinued in May 2027.

Intuit is moving away from its traditional 3-year software lifecycle.

Version 24.0 will receive continuous support and product maintenance.

Intuit says it plans to provide ongoing security patches, tax compliance updates, and other enhancements for years to come.

Here’s the official Intuit update:

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/inventory-management/whats-new-quickbooks-desktop-2024/L381Krc4A\_US\_en\_US

This seems like pretty big news for businesses that still prefer Desktop and don't want to move everything to QuickBooks Online.

The bigger issue now seems to be actually finding QuickBooks Desktop licenses since Intuit has made Desktop much harder to buy directly. For anyone looking for QuickBooks Desktop at a lower price, I’ve also seen different Desktop versions available through licenseRetail.com

What do you guys think about this change? Does this make you more likely to stay with QuickBooks Desktop instead of moving to Online?

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2024 – Windows – What You Need to Know

> Seller disclosure: I run a small software resale shop. Mods, remove if this breaks the rules.

We got a batch of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2024, and since there are always questions about Desktop versions and what still works, here's a straightforward explanation of what you're getting and what you're not.

What you're actually getting

This is QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2024 for Windows, designed for businesses that need more advanced accounting and inventory features than QuickBooks Pro.

It includes features such as:

• Invoicing and bills

• Accounts payable & receivable

• Advanced inventory and pricing features

• Job costing

• Purchase orders

• Check printing

• Manual bank reconciliation

• Advanced reporting

• Local company-file storage

• Multi-user capabilities

Who is it for?

Enterprise is generally a better fit for businesses with more complex accounting needs, including contractors, manufacturing & wholesale businesses, nonprofits, professional services, retail businesses, and other companies that need more advanced inventory, reporting, permissions, or multi-user functionality.

Important: Desktop software and Intuit's connected services aren't the same thing. Features that depend on Intuit's servers or an active service/subscription can have different requirements and availability. Make sure the specific features you need are supported before buying.

If your business mainly needs Desktop accounting with company files stored locally on your own Windows computers, Enterprise 2024 can be worth considering.

Happy to answer questions about compatibility, installation, or whether Enterprise 2024 fits your particular setup. I'd rather tell someone it's not right for them than sell them something that doesn't meet their needs.

Account suddenly suspended after 90+ suspicious "hold" orders overnight, anyone else dealt with this?

Woke up this morning to 90+ new orders on my store, all sitting in "hold" status. I only run organic traffic — zero ads — so this volume came completely out of nowhere and looks like fraud or bot activity to me, not real sales.

Went to check my balance and found my whole Whop account has been suspended. No clear explanation yet from support.

Has anyone run into something like this? What caused it for you and how did you get it resolved? Also wondering if this is a known pattern right now (card testing / fraud rings hitting stores) since it seems too coordinated to be random.

If anyone knows the fastest way to get a real person from Whop support, and what info to have ready when I reach out, I'd really appreciate it.

QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021 – No Subscription, Perpetual License – Sealed CD/DVD (Windows)

**Seller disclosure: I run a small software resale shop. Mods, remove if this breaks the rules.**

We got a batch of sealed retail QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021, and since the "can I still buy Desktop without a subscription" question comes up here constantly, here's the honest version.

**Why 2021 specifically:** it's the last version Intuit ever sold as a one-time perpetual license. Intuit stopped direct perpetual sales on Dec 10, 2021. Everything from the 2022 release on is Pro Plus — annual subscription, stops working when you stop paying. There is no current non-subscription QuickBooks Desktop.

**What you're actually getting, and what you're not.** Intuit discontinued all 2021 versions on May 31, 2024. So:

Still works, permanently, offline — invoicing, bills, A/P, A/R, check printing, manual bank reconciliation, inventory, job costing, 100+ reports, opening existing .QBW files, multi-user on a LAN.

Does NOT work — payroll, online bank feeds, QuickBooks Payments, Intuit support, security patches, automatic sales-tax rate updates.

**If you need payroll or bank feeds, this is the wrong product and I'd rather you didn't buy it.** It fits people who enter transactions manually, accountants opening legacy client files, and anyone who wants their books on their own machine with no renewal.

Sealed retail discs, unused keys. Full refund if a key doesn't activate.

Link in comments if that's allowed here — otherwise happy to answer questions in the thread. Also genuinely happy to talk anyone out of it if it's not a fit for their setup.

perfect timing for Israeli companies like Netafim to push their patented varieties through new agreements.

Then Moroccan-Israeli Sasha Chanoff’s company Moroccanoil took control of prickly pear seed oil production in Morocco, exporting it worldwide as an Israeli product.

That’s what “coexistence” looks like.

Thoughts?
