I am SUPER DESPERATE!!!

So the main thing is I am actually a guy living in Dubai. The main thing is I have been doing prolific for about three months now, and it was good. I used to earn 1,000 dirhams a month from it, but with a lot of effort, so I know it is hard. It's going on. Besides my actual work, I do this, but still I am looking for something really credible which really pays highly. I'm a marketing guy, I'm branding, but I'm not sure how to exactly do all of this stuff.

I have signed up on Handshake, and I have signed up on Prolific. I have got nothing except Prolific. I have signed up on UserInterviews, but it's the third or fourth day. There are no studies, and I have tried to join some other survey polls and survey websites, but they are not available in the UAE yet. How should I really do?

I don't have stuff to sell. I have a family here in Dubai, and my salary is too low. I don't know. I have tried to apply for some jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed, but it's not worth it. Maybe it's due to the war situation and regional tensions, because that's why the employers are not focusing on hiring more. I don't know where these job posts are coming from, if they're not hiring, or maybe I'm not that much into the competition, or because of some layoffs during these three or four months of the war. Probably there is high competition going on, and that's why I'm not getting any kind of good approach from the employer, but I need something.

I want to make money, big money. I have a laptop. I have my PC and system here. I have time. I have everything, but I just need a platform. I just need the people. I just need the investment. How should I start, and what?

Marketing + Brand Designer in Dubai looking for my next role - 8+ years, open to design, marketing, or automation work

Currently in Dubai, working in real estate advisory as the brand and marketing lead. Looking to move.

What I do:

  • Brand identity and design. Figma, Illustrator. Full visual systems, decks, brochures, campaigns.
  • Marketing. Meta Ads, Instagram content, lead campaigns. Ran these end to end.
  • Automation. I build n8n workflows and small internal tools. Listing pipelines, content bots, document generation that cut hours of manual work.
  • AI in the actual workflow. Not as a title, as a way to ship faster.

Background: 8+ years across brand, UI/UX, and marketing. Co-founded a digital agency in Pakistan before Dubai. BS in Mass Communication.

I'm after a role where design and marketing meet automation, or any one of those done well. In-house or agency, both fine.

If your company is hiring or you know someone who is, message me.

Dubai-based, can start on notice.

5 (£8.xx Studies) in 2 hours, but couldn't enter into even one

While sitting in front of my laptop, with the mouse in my hand, and active Prolific dashboard opened, having coffee, waiting for the study.

One study came. On the spot, I tried to take the survey. It vanished! Again, after 20 minutes, one came; it vanished. It's been like the 5th study now, and I could not even enter one. As soon as I click the "Take the survey" or "Take the study" button, it vanishes on the spot. It's like nanoseconds. I think people are really using the auto scripts or whatever. It has not been too much time on Prolific for me, but it's been like 2 months now, and I have never been this disappointed!

I can see this study since morning. Lowest payout, and they're dumb by not even fixing their Figma prototype

I already send like several messages, not even received any response. I cancelled two times already, it again appears.

What should I really do in this 25% cut and CRM they want me to make

Hi everyone. I have been working for a real estate company for 2 years now, and following the war situation, last month, they terminated few people, and not me, because they know what I am capable of (I fully thank God for this), but also they cut 25% percent from my salary (only 3 were targeted, terminated 2, I am the only left who was targeted, and my salary wasn't even that much higher, it's like below 10K AED a month and higher than 7K a month). They put all of that work on me as well.

I am the one who literally did everything for in the marketing department (all marketing, visual communication, and policies and other stuff), and also being a tech guy, I am an early adapter of AI in my workflows as well, and been really great with that. So I do Cursor, Claude Code, and many other stuff, and since I did few things for my company for free, they asked me to make a CRM for them. Like a huge CRM using AI, for them!

Now the main problem is, they expect me to work in marketing (all ads and stuff), design and branding, and many other things (like presentations, AI, visual communication), and a lot, with a 25% cut, how should I face all of this?

How much per hour should I put in my Prolific?

This one is, I think, crucial. So I need to know, if there's anything specific for this? I mean, I want to do them all to be honest! But, what should I write? If I write below 6, maybe I won't get more than 6 per hour. If I write 12 or 20, maybe I'll miss all possible studies. What's the best option for maximum studies?

It's been 10 days and less than 20 studies I could have

My Prolific is literally turned on for more than 18 hours per day. I have 100% completed by About section. But I am not even receiving anymore studies. Not only on weekends, even in the normal days, I am receiving only 1 or 2, sometimes max 3 studies per day, and that after a couple of hours!

Is it about my demographics? Is there anything to tweak about in my About section? Is it even normal?

Few studies, they come and within seconds I try to click, but it's already gone!

Throwaway.

Real estate company in Dubai. I'm on NOC from a different sponsor company. Worked there 15 months. Signed offer letter Nov 2025: 8K total, 90 days notice, stamped by COO.

This week they told me verbally next month's payslip drops to 6K. No addendum, no email. I said okay because of the wartime situation.

Other stuff:

  • They never got me a work permit (quota failed, never retried)
  • No health insurance from anyone, wife's hospital bill 3.4K out of pocket
  • 37+ untouched leave days
  • I still have their laptop

If they terminate or I claim constructive dismissal, I think I'm owed around 30 to 35K (gratuity + leave + 90 days notice in lieu).

Questions:

  1. Is my case actually strong or am I dreaming?
  2. Lawyer recs for claims under 50K? DM welcome.
  3. Anyone settled with a Dubai employer for similar numbers?
  4. Without MOHRE registration on employer side, is it MOHRE or straight to civil court?

Just want what was signed. Any honest takes appreciated.
