So apparently it's national couples day, so had to post some Shinobu multishipping stuff. As a Lesbian Shinobu enjoyer, I love ShinoMitsu the most, my 2nd fav is TamaShino #WomenInSTEM

TamaShino is a pretty rare ship, but this one makes me intrigued. (SPOILERS) >!they both contribute to make a drug to defeat Muzan once and for all. Shinobu was initialy angry from the inside to collaborate with her, but later on, she grew fond of her and respects her.!<This ship is also called Pharmacy Yuri for that reason. For the age thing, it mostly uses Tamayo's human age (19), since demons aging is confusing as hell.

Akaza and Shinobu is funny in execution bc of their shared hatred for D*uma.

Also no homophobic comments btw! I am tired of it.

Japanese Yokai and Folklore is one of my major interests and hyperfixations, and seeing that KnY has a yokai set (sadly no Sabito smh), I decided to put in an idea on this silly relationship chart of this thing (Sabito art is credited!)

Here is the series/project I made! It's still ongoing.

Ships: ShinoMitsu, SaneGiyuu, past Sabigiyuu, SaneOba, platonic Giyushino (theyre childhood friends in this!)

More characters will be added later. I do have some other KnY ideas but my multishipper self is still indecisive, and need further research for the lore itself. Gyomei and Tengen won't be in here bc I suck at writing them.

Disclaimer: This will have some queer headcanons. So Lesbian Shinobu, Pansexual Mitsuri, Bisexual Giyu, Gay Sanemi, Nonbinary Bisexual Obanai, etc!

For Shinobu's strained relationship with Kanae, it's still tentative. I just found the "maybe if you'll find a boy that can save you" excerpt or something made Shinobu had to cut ties with her sister, bc Shinobu thought Kanae was forcing her to marry a man, not a woman like her sexuality (shes a lesbian). I personally don't have much to say about Kanae and her personality just yet, so if some ppl can help me with writing her, it's greatly appreciated! Her, Tsutako and Genya are the KnY characters I struggle with when it comes to writing sadly (I love tomioka siblings!)

Recently this question come to mind. Potential man/woman is basically a term about underdeveloped characters, but overhyped by the fans. (Those kind of memes were a thing recently.)

To me, it's either Obanai or Nezuko for me that fit this category.

Obanai:

I know this is pretty divisive about him. But to me, Obanai and Mitsuri's relationship is pretty much rushed in canon. Like in his last moments it's just the "tell don't show" scenario.

Also it's hilarious that Obanai didn't properly overcome his trauma (it isn't shown in the manga), but just wait until reincarnation. His backstory is also put in the final arc outta nowhere.

It's kinda understandable because he's a side character.

Nezuko:

Theres this criticism about KnY that says "Nezuko isnt a character, but a plot device" And in my opinion, it's somewhat correct.

After season 1, Nezuko only appeared from the box just to help Tanjiro fighting Daki (UM6) and heal the others (aka shes just a plot device to help the MC getting out of situations). Also some ppl say she's being infantilized by a lot

So, what do you think? in your opinion, who is the most "potential man/woman" kny character?

DISCLAIMER: I know I dislike the ship I'm going to ask about, but I want to ask this since I don't really understand since I followed this anime/manga.

I'm queer and I personally headcanon Sanemi as closeted gay, so I can't see him with a women.

So I've been a KnY fan for about a year or two, but I want to ask this, as a SaneGiyuu and SaneOba shipper.

Why most people in the KnY fandom ship Sanemi and Kanae together? I'm aware that shipping is supposed to be fun and harmless, and crackships do exist, but are there any of their interactions in any KnY source material (manga, anime, games, etc)?

(Aside from internalized homophobia, ofc. I've seen some shippers of that harass Sanegiyuu shippers bc of "i hate it bc they're gay" rhetoric, and as a SaneGiyuu shipper I don't want to bring this discourse even further. It might violate the rules)

Someone on Twitter said that Shinobu's butterfly hairclip looks like cat ears and the sword/scabbard looks like a cat tail. and I can't unsee.

Also the ohiruneko figures makes her have actual kitty ears! :3

Wish we had some more interactions of them, hope Ufotable animated the "Mitsuri Kanroji's Secret" chapter from the One Winged Butterfly Light Novel. They mean so much to me!

Ik this isn't necessarily a shipping post, but its interesting that Mitsuri is the closest Hashira to Shinobu bc they're both girls (from the 1st JP fanbook)

Disclaimer: Tbh I'm usually neutral about Gyomei, the only minor nitpick I have about him is the fanbooks bc he always likes heteronormative (or hetslop) ships without further proof (Mind you, a lot of the canon KnY ships have bad writing and/or terribly rushed. Hakukoyu and Yoriiuta are exceptions). I don't hate him on a visceral level, but that tidbit on the databooks are kinda eh, out of character for him (this coming from a platonic Giyushino truther). But I do like his soft and tender side esp for the kids he took care of.

On the other hand, there's this Demon Slayer Mario Party clone that I played with my sis, that Gyomei CPU is like one step ahead of our respective characters (I usually use Shinobu/Mitsuri/Giyu/Mui, my sis uses Mui or Tanjiro). The game name is "Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board". (one of my personal fav "Mario party clone" tbh)

And because of this, I call him as "Tryhard" (see 2nd slide, I was the Mui user and my sis was the Tanjiro user). That Gyomei CPU really came in clutch despite being in normal difficulty.

Theres even a random instance in our gameplay, when the Tengen CPU in the game reached the "Hashira Guidance space" (kinda like event spaces in Mario Party), and Gyomei appears, reducing my sis' rank points, and she even flips him off lmao

Also I wish we can see more about Tsutako aside from academy AU.

This isn't actually a ship post tbh. But its kinda unusual seeing my copy of KnY vol. 5 manga made Shinobu call Giyuu by his given name, instead of his surname. Bc in the anime and that one extra scene which Shinobu poked him to "be friends" with him... she calls Giyuu as "Tomioka-san".

and the fun part, the og Japanese edition of the manga also made her call Giyuu by his given name (Giyu-san) :0
