Hi, I’m looking to purchase a new 2026 CX-50 hybrid in Machine Gray Metallic in either the Preferred or Premium trims. I just test drove the car today and loved it. I want to trade in one of our current cars and pay for the rest in cash (no financing). I was quoted prices for both by my local Mazda dealer today and wanted to know if these are decent deals right now. Also, which trim is the better one to go with? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We’ve had to deal with house mice a couple of times since we moved to our home in Garden City 13 years ago. The first two times I saw some mouse droppings in the utility closet in our basement. I laid some traps and placed poison bait down both times. Ended up catching several mice in the traps (with the bait also having been eaten), which appeared to deal with the problem in each instance.
It’s been three years since the last time and just two days ago my mom saw a mouse crawling along in the basement. What’s strange is that this mouse wasn’t scared by my mom’s presence at all. It didn’t run away as she approached it or even as she whacked it with a stick to kill it. (My mom’s fearless, btw.) Even stranger, about an hour later, we found TWO more just sitting in different places in our basement. Like the first one, these were unfazed by our presence. I was able to go right up to them and they barely moved.
My mom and my wife wanted me to kill them, but I couldn’t do it. Instead, I placed a plastic cup on top of them and slid a piece of cardboard to pick them up and placed them in a box. Neither of them even tried to run away when I did this, btw. I took them to a park close by and let them out there.
I’d never seen a live mouse in our house before. In the two previous cases, it was just their droppings and the dead ones in the traps. They NEVER came out in our presence. Then in one day, we see not one, but three mice either walking freely or just standing there with no fear and basically no reaction to the presence of humans.
One thing that may be worth noting is that these weren’t the same type of house mice that came in years before. I’m pretty sure these were field mice based on the fact that they all had white undersides and feet. They also seemed smaller, like they were young (but not babies).
In the two days since this incident, we haven’t seen any more mice. There are no droppings anywhere either. Just in case, I’ve laid traps and bait like before but haven’t caught anything unlike the other times where I caught a few after the first night that I placed the traps down. So hopefully, that was it this time.
My question is, has anyone else on the island ever dealt with such mice behavior or know what the heck was wrong with them?

From finishing the dig. Almost makes up for all the crappy Swap packs I've had in the past.
