Is Ryuji canonically ugly?

I don't think he is ever called chopped but he is constantly alluded as being unattractive and basically having no game (Though I guess it's more due to his loud personality) but it's quite difficult for me to believe honestly lol

Megumi would never commit suicide after EoS

For some really dumb reason many people believe Megumi killed himself before Modulo and it's a take I've seen repeated way more often than you'd expect. Not only is this not indicated at all in Modulo, but directly contradicts Megumi's character.

The reasoning is that after everything that happened in the manga (Sukuna using him to kill his family basically), Megumi's alredy suicidal depression heightened and he ended up commiting after sometime. This premise completely ignores the entire conclusion of Megumi's arc. Megumi after hitting his lowest point in the manga had no will to live anymore, but this was adressed and directly confronted by Yuji. This discussion is meant to be a therapeutic moment for Megumi, he lets out all of his desires and regrets, and explains his reasoning for why he no longer wishes to live. Yuji empathizes with him as someone who also had/has suicidal idealization and gives Megumi the autonomy to choose wether he wants to live or not, and Megumi conciously chooses he wants to stay for him.

Sukuna here is used to depict the depression, as void of negativity that tries to manipulate Megumi into not fight anymore through guilt. Megumi however, rejects this and pushes Sukuna out so that light can finally be seen again. Arguing he will still live for the rest of the people in the world and "someone else". Which I interpret this subject both as Yuji or anyone else, in singular ("any guy").

This is a clear cut scene meant to depict how a real connection can resolve someone's will into beating depression. Megumi committing suicide would defeat the point of the character's conclusion and effectively be a retcon of a crucial part of his character. Furthermore, it has been statistically seen that 4 out 5 suicide survivors don't re-attempt.

Quick reminder this sub is Yuji circlejerk and that any debate regarding him is impossible to happen fairly

And yes. Most of the sub clearly thinks Tsurika didn't perform one of the slashes despite Yujiers loving to accuse anyone who disagrees with them of "lack of reading comprehension", whatever that actually means to them.

I ain't listening anyone with this critic

It's surprisingly common hearing people complain about this because P3 doesn't have 20 minutes wacky school trip every month lol

Yuta at "full potential" would just no diff the verse

https://preview.redd.it/cgy6rosffvhh1.png?width=452&format=png&auto=webp&s=059367b2805ddd6f78ddab49af1a187086f639f6

Ignoring the fact that a character at their "full potential" is quite unclear at what their limits might be (besides sub-SoL movement I guess), Yuta at his full potential is him with every technique in the verse copied and used appropiately. So Comedian, Chaos and Harmony, Light, IT, TE...

Aswell as the best body possible for him with body swap, Mahoraga, all the curses. He'd basically be the entire verse in one character, wouldn't he?

Explaining why Kashimo isn't top 10 via matchups

While domain diffing is a good enough argument of it's own. Im going to reinforce the wincon with the rest of the characters kits to showcase it is very possible for them to land lethal sure hits on Kashimo (If they need it). Specially thanks to the 20% output amp domains naturally give.

MBA is naturally not scaled for being a suicidal move, which means Kashimo can only draw the battle at most and thus is unsuitable for match ups.

Gojo, Sukuna and Dabura: No explanation needed. Same for Modulo Yuji.

Kenjaku: Besides being top 2 in barriers and having an open domain. Kenjaku can shut down any direct confrontation with a well timed AGS reversal with a 20% increase in output. He also has a great range diff on Kashimo with Mini Uzumaki.

Yuta: 2v1 with Rika, range superiority with most of his techniques, technique extinguishment and Sky Manipulation are great defensive tools to avoid Kashimo's electricity. Cursed Speech offguard attack is also possible. And of course just tearing away HWB.

Yuki: 1 hit vs 3 hits. Yuki was capable of tearing through Kenjaku's arms at 100% output. So unless you can prove Kashimo is over a 20%+ more durable than Kenjaku, he gets oneshot. Yuki also has a 2v1 and/or range advantage with Garuda.

Yorozu: This fight is closer but the wincon remains. Yorozu has a range advantage with Liquid metal, vertical movement and only needs to break Kashimo's HWB to beat him instantly by landing the sure hit Perfect Sphere. While Kashimo still needs to avoid the non-sure hit PF mid combat.

Yuji: Similar to Yorozu and Yuki, he can just tear Kashimo's output away and dismantle him to separation. Though if we decide not to have Kashimo as a reincarnate the fight could go in his favor.

Maki or Toji: Same as Yuki. Kashimo needs to somehow hit them 3 times while he can't be hit even once.

Hakari: Image of the post

Mahito: Kashimo has no way to significantly hurt Mahito without him just reshaping his soul, same result as vs Yorozu.

Uraume: She is basically Kashimo but with RCT and much better range. Same result as Yuki or Maki.

There are other more favorable match ups for Kashimo, such as Ryu or Jogo. But these characters are commonly not considered top 10 contenders and this post alredy covers 11 to 13 characters that can solidly beat Kashimo out of the top 10 ranking.

Yuji is a badly written character

Yuji's role in the story of Modulo is very strange and feels off with the rest of the manga. Like a side plot that concludes on it's own and never breaches the main story.

My first point is...What is Yuji doing here? He is all that's talked about but doesn't actually fulfill anything special for the story. The few actions he does across the plot can easily be filled by another character or just eliminated from the story entirely (Example, beating Mahito). if anything, he stoles an important role as the "ambassador of humanity" to Maru's ritual at the end. This feels like something that should've been given to Tsurugi or Yuka. Not only they are the actual main characters here, but they are the ones who Maru has interacted the most with and have alredy served as important figures to the Human-Simurian relationships.

My second point is his development, which is controversial to say the least. Many people hate his objectively bad treatment of Dabura's duel and how that forced the sorcerers to put Yuka, his senpai's teenage grandaughter mind you, in a situation where she had to sacrifice the little life she had left to try and save humanity. As I said, this is wrong and the story makes it absolutely clear to be the case.

Im diving this point in two: Does it makes sense? And where does Yuji go from this action as a character?

We can't really see how Yuji is dealing with his new circumstances. We knew he was in great grief over seeing his friends dying and that started to warp his view of Gojo and what he was supposed to do. But does it make sense? From a surface level, sure. But we never really get to see why Yuji turned into such a bum that somehow twists Gojo's teachings into a jujutsu higher up level display of empathy. If Megumi is truly dead, I could see him completely losing his sense of self as that was alredy hinted at back in the original JJK, but this is never adressed again in Modulo.

Now, his development after he lets Yuka summon big Raga: It's nearly void. He sees Maru nuking the cursed spirits and suddenly he is back in action and wants to help everyone and stop messing around and even reconnects with his friends. Im sorry, but this is an extremely rushed and unrealistic development. After all the fuzz he made, making a 180 over a singular action made by people he doesn't know feels extremely out of place and just a cheap way to rush his conclusion because there are no chapters left. All of Jujutsu society have been actively trying their best to help the world and Yuji had for likely decades been turning his back at them.

The truth which people haven't really point out to me is clear: Yuji is a fanservice character that has no reason to be in Modulo besides boosting sales. Making his inclusion an active detriment to a story that doesn't need him.

Why do people complain about durability so much?

I've seen people whine about how Chainsaw Man is overwanked and "difficult" to scale because the characters have a distinctive low durability. To which I ask, why does it matter?

The CSM verse uses regenerative abilities to survive attacks, we know this regen also scales to their other stats as we see with the primals and we also know the extend of this ability, the most obvious example being Makima and Yoru's contracts to bypass their damage/death onto another citizen. Which effectively gives them a "country level survivability", as in, you'd need to kill all their citizens in order for the contract to stop working under normal conditions.

In other words, you won't defeat a high tier CSM character by hitting them with say a city block level attack alone even if it outclasses how much damage they take. The regeneration in Chainsaw man is the durability in a way.

How good is Tsurika's stamina?

By Stamina I mean CE reserves + Efficiency

Considering Rika's ring had multiple decades of Yuta's CE stored and is capable of sustain most of the planet, should he be above Sukuna?
