Where do Pakistan cosmetic brands look for manufacturing partners?

Hi everyone,

I'm from Turkey and work in cosmetic contract manufacturing, mainly with perfumes and personal care products for private labels.

For a long time I've been interested in Pakistan, not only from a business perspective but also because I'd really like to travel there and learn more about the country and its people.

I'm curious about something. If a manufacturer from Turkey wanted to connect with Pakistan companies looking to produce cosmetics or perfumes, where would you start? Are there any trade communities, B2B platforms, industry events, or even local business groups that people actually use and trust?

I'm not trying to advertise my company. I'm genuinely trying to understand how businesses in Pakistan usually find overseas manufacturing partners and build long-term relationships.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Excess shampoo & skincare inventory – looking for advice

Hi everyone,

I'm a cosmetic manufacturer from Turkey, and I have a question I'd really appreciate some advice on.

From time to time, we end up with excess inventory of shampoos, hair care, and skincare products that were originally manufactured for our own brand. They're perfectly good products with a normal shelf life, but because of inventory changes and limited warehouse space, I don't want to throw them away.

I'm not looking to maximize profit. I'd simply like to find a responsible way to move them in bulk, even at cost or below cost, instead of letting them go to waste.

If you were in this situation, how would you handle it? Are there marketplaces, distributors, liquidators, charities, or other channels that are commonly used for this?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with excess cosmetic inventory before.

Brand owners and sourcing managers: I run a turnkey cosmetics factory in Turkey. How do I build trust with EU/US clients without sounding like a spammer?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some honest advice from people who are in the beauty industry or handle overseas sourcing.

I own a cosmetic contract manufacturing facility based in Istanbul, Turkey. We specialize in A-to-Z turnkey private label (from custom formulation in our lab to filling and final packaging).

We have strong local operations, but my main goal right now is to expand our export operations to the EU and US markets. The problem is, I know how annoying generic cold emails from overseas manufacturers can be, and I really want to avoid looking like just another spammy supplier in someone's inbox.

For the brand owners, founders, or supply chain experts here:

  1. Where do you actually go to find reliable overseas manufacturing partners? (Specific directories, trade shows, certain networking groups?)
  2. What is the biggest "green light" for you when an international manufacturer reaches out?
  3. What are the instant red flags that make you ignore them?

I really want to build long-term, trustworthy partnerships rather than just pushing for quick sales. Any advice on how to approach this professionally would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
