Currently, I think the job market is quite down. I have a fear that despite a decent CGPA, I might not get placed. In case I don't get placed, what are the next steps I should take?
Mech student here btw and I wanna get into core.
As the title suggests, suppose I get an offer for an Off-Campus Internship for 6 months. Then what is the procedure for that? Like do I tell PSD and get the company registered or something. Or do I register for a Corporate Thesis, although PS Associate Dean said that 'Corporate Thesis', such a term no longer exists. Also taking into factor that PSD is a bit haraami and I've heard stories that people get their own companies and PSD gives other PS2 opportunities while they are left with nothing.
Seniors please guide me.
As the title suggests, today I learnt that you should sleep with a pillow under your knees, this helps with sleeping during sciatica.
However, in my case, I have a slight pain when I do so and instead pain less when I don't put any pillow under my knees
So please let me know, is it really necessary to put a pillow under my knees?

Hello Fellow MechE peeps,
About a year ago, I tried to perform Topology Optimization on an Artery, to get a rough design for a Stent. I did this using nTop (An open-source software).
Here is the result I got.
Now I don't think the results are correct. Didn't get anything close to a Stent design.
Can anyone help me to decode what went wrong??

Currently in my 3rd year Summer break doing a Summer Internship
In a really amazing company but there's really nothing to do
It's unpaid and despite asking my manager, I end up sitting without nothing to do mostly
And yes, it's an unpaid internship
Also it's a core engineering company and I wanna go into core, but I don't wanna waste time doing nothing with nobody to talk to (in a state where I can't speak their language)
So I'm considering discontinuing the internship and rather work on something or learn something at home
Opinions?
