Now that the Syntakt 1.4 update has been live for 6 months I’m curios to hear how everyone is utilizing the sample slots and twinshot machine. I have some acoustic instruments(piano, cello, ect) a few different hi-hats and acoustic drums (honestly need to go back and really add to this) and some vocals.

i‘m interested in others option, even sharing their favorite set of samples, do you swap them out or is it a set it and forget it type of mentality. and also how many of you are using the twinshot machine and how Thanks!

ive found it fun to layer a piano and string hit together or build a chord with two tracks with twinshot.

looking to fill out a small minimal set up for personal use and stress relief. looking at adding either of these to pair with m8 for midi keyboard + synths and extra FX parts..

i know both are vastly different workflows but both are compact, 4 tracks, synths and samples (I much enjoyed my friends OG OP-1 years ago). just looking for it to be music therapy that can also turn into compositions. I’d have a sidekick mixer for either as well. cost doesn’t matter in this comparison as I budgeted upwards to where to OP-1 field is with the current sale. Style is Lofi chill hop, Chiptunes, and vapor wave sound collage jungle.

just looking for anyone’s insight or feedback that may have experience with either of these devices and or combo of them with the M8.

how does the audio out sound on the Tonverk? I have seen some people say it sounds the most polished and full of any of Elektrons gear. I’ve heard other say it is to hi fi and clean sounding ( which to me is bonkers due to the FX section and routing section)

I have a Syntakt for main synth and bass and lead parts and am contemplating a Digitakt ii or Tonverk for a two box minimal experimental glitch, liquid dnb , chill house sound. going to form a local band.

I loved the DT II output because everything I put into it has this secret DT sauce. even running the Syntakt into it was a huge upgrade with the compressor and OD. however, the idea of both polphany and samples and FX in one box helps really solidify the two box approach But I’m unsure if it’s just overkill. As I really was starting to vibe with the DTII and Syntakt combo and limits But was missing the lush pads and being able to play The keys.

just looking for some users who have had either both or the Tonverk and have had experience in the electronic/music work to share their thoughts on this post. thanks!

So i Have been slowly learning my new Dirtywave M8. it has joined my minimal home setup of iust a Syntakt. one thing I have loved has been sequencing melodic lines with the M8 and midi out to the Syntakt.

My question comes for anyone familiar with both M8 and Elektron… is there an easy way to record the note data that I write on the M8 into the Elektron Syntakts sequencer ( so jf I want to mess with my Syntakt solo the melodic data for multiple tracks is transferred over). Thank you- it may be as simple as Live rec on Syntakt and just press play on M8
