Feedback from long time Field owners

Hey everyone!
I'm seriously considering a basalt grey Field as my first "serious" watch, as it seems to have pretty much everything I'm looking for (Updated Sellita movement, original but versatile design, great brand reputation etc).

The only thing that makes me hesitate is the titanium case and finish. I've read online from some owners that the finish can feel a bit "toy-ish", even dirty looking? So I'd be interested to hear owners about how they feel regarding that.

The other question mark is about the patina that can appear on the case after a while. Do any long time owners noticed changes in the finish, and if so, how does it look after a few months/years?

I'm a bit nervous to buy something without being able to try it first, so thank you guys in advance for your comments!

My beginner's setup

I finally decided to dive into the world of vinyl/audio, and after doing quite a bit of research, here’s the setup I put together :

Late 70's JVC JL-A15 with a brand new AT-VM95E -> 1990 Luxman R113 -> 1988 Axiom AX2

Even though I don't have any point of comparison, I'm very happy with the result!

Cheers!

Opinions on double AR coating?

I'm really interested in the S400s, especially the Retro Tone line, but the outer AR coating on the crystal is bothering me. I understand that the crystal litterally becomes invisible because of it, but I know that if I drop a significant amount of money on a watch and I notice a scratch on the crystal, I would probably obsess over that.

So I was curious to hear about real life experience from S400 owners regarding the durability of the coating. Do I worry too much or do you feel like it could be a deal breaker?

Thank you!
