Should I tell hookups I wear a system to avoid embarrassment?

I’ve been getting more action since I got my system, which was kind of the point. But I’ve recently had several close calls.

First, was making out and he ran his fingers through the back of my hair and felt the seam. He stopped and asked “what’s this?” Thankfully he didn’t make a big deal about it, but he could’ve…

Then I had an instance with someone else where he kept trying to pull on my hair and I had to keep stopping him.

Part of me thinks I should just put it in my profile: “FYI I wear a hair system, so no hair pulling and if it bothers you, feel free to swipe left.” But the other part of me thinks I shouldn’t have to.

What do you guys do? Do you disclose up front or wait for it to come up?

Am I missing something or is there so much lifting?

Hey guys, I need a sanity check.

I just had my second system installed, so doing this for about 4 months now.

Every time I wash it I have to fix lift on the front. I dread washing it. I’ll use a shower cap for 3-4 days until I can’t stand it anymore. I’ve tried washing in cold water, under the faucet, in the kitchen sink, trying to have gentler water but it doesn’t really help. Is this just how it is? Is it normal to have to fix the hairline every 3-4 days?

Feature Request: Timed Exercise Count-Down Instead of Up

Hi, been using the App since it first came out and loved it.

Some stretches / poses etc. require holding for a specific duration like 30 sec. Often, my hands are busy so I can’t look at my watch. I’m constantly flipping back and forth between Hevy and my watch’s timer to countdown the duration. You can specify the duration in the Hevy routine, but it counts-up, not down. I suggest a toggle switch at the exercise level: “Count up/down” and in the down state, there’s an alert when the timer reaches zero, like at the end of a rest countdown.

Dell Kinyon Taylor (1933–2024): A Utah artist who spent more than fifty years creating an interconnected world of paintings, jewelry, stained glass, photography, textiles, and sculpture

Dell Kinyon Taylor (1933–2024) spent his life creating a highly interconnected body of work spanning painting, jewelry, stained glass, photography, textiles, sculpture, and thousands of handmade objects. The connections are incredible and story’s are individual.
Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, he approached them as parts of a larger whole. Objects appear within paintings he made and can still be found elsewhere in the house. Materials reappear decades later in completely different works. Ideas move throughout the collection over the course of a lifetime.
The work has remained completely outside traditional gallery, museum, and commercial systems. He never sold work- he simply gave it as gifts to who he loved. A substantial portion of the collection remained together in the environment where it was created until his death in 2024.
As the collection is being documented, photographed, and preserved, I have become increasingly interested in understanding where it fits within broader art-historical conversations surrounding artist-built environments, visionary worlds, outsider art, self-contained creative ecosystems, and interdisciplinary practice.
I would be interested in hearing from historians, curators, archivists, collectors, and researchers.
Are there artists, environments, collections, or preservation projects that you believe offer meaningful comparisons?
