My request:

I have a new project I want to start 💕

If anyone has extra scrapbooking supplies laying around that aren't needed, like scraps of unique paper, little things to glue to the page, lace or anything fun to decorate the pages with. I would truly looooove any help! Even if its just a couple tiny things! Really annnnything would be very helpful and also EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!

Im brand new to the world of scrapbooking and semi new to the happy mail community. I have a personal journal project that I want to start but lack supplies, and craft stores are overwhelming because I dont know what im looking for 🤣 when it comes to shopping, I make a list and enter the store, grab exactly whats on the list and run lol. Or when shopping with my bff, we enter the store and I magically transform into a man/ husband holding the purses while sitting on a random chair in the corner of the store playing phone games till she comes back hours later 🤣🤣 point of the story.. im not a great window shopper if i dont know what im looking for lol. Once I have an idea of supplies I enjoy using and need then I can just order online. But at this moment im just a giant child overwhelmed by all the amazingness.

So please bestow your supreme knowledge and unneeded goodies onto me, my artistic scrapbooking saviors. No matter how small, I will be very thankful! Ill definitely post a thank you and also send back a thank you card & goodies!!

I read a similar post recently & fell in love!

I love collecting postcards/happy mail, and I heard about this book called Postsecret. Its a project where people anonymously mail in postcards with a secret they've never told anyone before.

I think this is an incredible idea 💕 Let's play!!

If you have a secret you'd like to get off your chest or just something youve never really told anyone, id love for you to write it on a postcard or in a letter and send it to me.

It doesn't have to be some huge life changing confession (but it absolutely can be if youre feeling brave). It can be funny, embarrassing, wholesome, bittersweet, or completely mundane. Whatever comes to mind.

If you dont want to share your name, feel free to stay anonymous on the postcard. If you do add a return address I will definitely reply. I can send a thank you or we can have some therapy sessions 🙈🙉🙊

I'm Heather 37/F. Im extremely new to reddit and only joined to follow a podcast I like called Smosh, then i realized there were new friends/ penpal subreddits and now im hooked. I love making new friends, writing long letters and exchanging art, stickers, trinkets, and anything else I can squish into an envelope 🤭

There is no denying that im a hopeless nerd, but I assure you I have a broad range of interests lol. Here are some things about me:

​

▪︎ I absolutely love anime and manga, crunchyroll is my netflix.

​

▪︎ I love philosophy and psychology. Really anything that has to do with self help, human growth, or seeing the world and people from other analytical perspectives.

​

▪︎ I love photography, I use to spend alot of time walking around nature parks or places like the botanical gardens with my camera. Im not very good but I enjoy it hehe.

​

▪︎ I enjoy art of all kinds and spent a lot of time in museums. Especially the Dali museum or FloridaRama in St Pete. Im also obsession with glass blowing and glass art.

​

▪︎ I love music, all music. I know people say that alot but I actually mean it.. I enjoy everything from rock, rap, and techno, all the way to country, 50s/60s, and opera. I love it all.

​

▪︎ I like creating things with resin, and making character bead pens and keychains. I also recently purchased a dyi book nook that I will be starting soon. I enjoy things like diamond painting and making mosaic glass lamps.

​

▪︎ I play mobile games like whiteout survival, brawl stars, and state survival.

​

▪︎ I read alot.. like alot alot. I read self help books, philosophy, fantasy, dark romance, smut, manga and much more. A couple of my favorite books are A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, and the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi.

​

▪︎ I collect coffee cups, anything with a cute moose or snowman on it, post cards, stamps, trinkets, stickers, along with anime and popmart figurines.

​

▪︎ I believe self growth is a never ending venture & love having conversations about all aspects of life 💕. I tend to be one of those people who will overshare... so you will know my life story with a quickness hehe. Im also the type of person who will do anything alone, be it going to the movie theater, fancy restaurants, vacations.. im comfortable with all of it.

​

▪︎ When im not at home (which is where I love to be 99% of the time.. my couch is amazing), I like nature walks, kayaking, buying new books, skydiving, motorcycles and finding cute coffee shops.

​

Anyways, I definitely have a few screws loose!

I've been completely self isolated for almost 4 years now and have honestly been enjoying the solitude, but I think its about time I start reconnecting with the outside world 💕 Nothing romantic, just searching for a couple true friends. Be it male/female or both, insane or boringly sane, nomadic or a home loving introvert, shy or annoyingly aggressive, gay or straight, LGBTQ+ or any other letters we can add in there.. its all irrelevant when it comes to two hearts connecting. Real connection is hard to find these days but im looking forward to the day I find my people xoxo.

Im a very laid back and open minded person so no topic is "to much" or off limits. Though I must say im not into politics. We can spend our time bitching and complaining about how hard adulting is, debate the purpose and meaning of life, share our deepest secrets, or just enjoy some small talk about our favorite hobbies and little joys in life. Whatever it may be, im looking forward to it ✨️
