My pod kept forgetting who won what and wanted to have some insights about our games, so I made a free, open source life tracker that saves every game
Our playgroup had the usual problem. We’d play a great game, and a week later someone asks “wait, who won last time?”, "what is the most winning deck", "who is the best player in the pod?" and nobody knows. I tried a spreadsheet for a while and I was the only one who ever filled it in.
So I made an app where the game itself is the data entry. You track life and commander damage on one phone or tablet in the middle of the table (infect and 2 to 6 players work too), and when it ends the match gets saved with the decks, the commanders and how it ended: last one standing, combo, concession, an alt win card, or a draw.
After a few weeks you get rankings for players, decks and commanders, plus some silly group awards like fastest win and best comeback. Decks import from Moxfield or Archidekt with a link, or added without a link just selecting commander.
It’s called 21Life. Honest status: only my pod of 10 has used it so far, about 200 games. It needs an internet connection, there’s a web version and an Android build, and no iOS yet. The code is MIT on GitHub if you want to look: GITHUB LINK. App: DOWNLOAD LATEST RELEASE
What I’d actually like to know: do your pods track on one device in the middle of the table, or does everyone use their own phone? And what’s the one thing trackers like this always get wrong for you?
Would be really glad if you choose to try my app, i'm just looking for people to share it with.
Thank you all!
