Emma D’Arcy deserves an Emmy for House of the Dragon season 3

Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra this season is operating on another level and it really deserves recognition.

The scene where she sees Jace’s body is heartbreaking in how quiet it is. The shock just drains into grief without any big outburst, and it feels like everything inside her is collapsing at once.

And the scene where she struggles to put Otto Hightower to death really shows the internal conflict. You can see her trying to stay in control, trying to convince herself this is necessary, but it doesn’t come easily. The hesitation, the tension in the silence, it all makes it feel like a breaking point rather than a display of power.

When she sits on the Iron Throne, it’s the opposite of a victory moment. It’s heavy, exhausted, almost like she is forcing herself into a role that is costing her everything.

That balance is what makes the performance so strong. Nothing is exaggerated, but everything lands.

Emma D’Arcy absolutely deserves the Emmy conversation this season.

Arlettie Balenciaga NYC Sample Sale - Save Your Time and Money

Went to the Arlettie Balenciaga sample sale in NYC today and honestly… what a joke.

It felt like they cleaned out the warehouse of leftover 2023 inventory. The selection was disappointing across the board. Sizes were either extreme ends, colors were odd, and there was barely anything that most people would actually want.

If you’re hoping for bags, don’t get your hopes up. There were only a couple on display, and I didn’t see any Hourglass or Le City bags at all.

The shoe selection? Felt like I had walked into 2019. Nothing exciting or current.

The sunglasses were even worse - some of the strangest colors and oversized styles I’ve ever seen. Total Ninja Turtle vibes.

No jewelry. No card holders. No small leather goods worth mentioning.

My advice: don’t let the “sample sale” hype convince you to buy something you don’t actually like just because it’s discounted. You deserve better than settling for leftover stock that nobody wanted.
Curious if anyone else had the same experience or if I just went on a bad day.

AMC Kips Bay New York Toy Story 5: Guy who complained got kicked out, noisy families stayed (at first)

I went to the AMC Kips Bay in NYC for the June 18th, 2026 7:30 PM showing of Toy Story 5, and it turned into one of the weirdest theater experiences I’ve had.

As you’d expect, a lot of people there grew up with Toy Story and were excited to see it. There were also a few families with young kids, which is totally understandable. But there were about three couples who brought several toddlers and a baby. For the first 30 minutes, the kids were crying, talking loudly, and running back and forth in front of the screen.

My girlfriend and I were trying to focus on the movie when one guy finally got up and told the parents they needed to keep the kids quiet because they were distracting everyone else, or they should step out. I couldn’t hear exactly what he said, but that’s the general idea.

Things escalated really fast. The kids and baby got even louder, the guy stood up again and told the three families they should leave, and then three of the dads started calling him over from the side stairs like they wanted to fight him. The guy was ready to fight too, yelling back and dropping F-bombs. The whole theater was just sitting there wondering what was about to happen.

One of the parents got the manager, who spent what felt like 20 minutes talking to the guy while the movie kept playing. Eventually, the manager escorted him out and asked him to leave. Meanwhile, the kids were still making noise. A little later, the parents seemed to realize they had ruined the experience for everyone else and they ended up leaving too.

The whole situation completely killed the mood, although thankfully the movie itself was great.

I’m curious what everyone else thinks. Was the guy out of line, or was he justified in speaking up? Personally, I thought he had the courage to say what everyone else was probably thinking. Maybe he got a little heated toward the end, but asking him to leave while the disruption continued didn’t seem fair to me. Interested to hear other opinions.

Best Indian Chole Bhature in NYC Foodies (Delhi Style)

If you’re craving Delhi-style chole bhature, here’s my personal ranking:

1️⃣ Bhatura King – 241-23 Braddock Ave, Jamaica, NY 11426 – Hands down, soft, fluffy, perfectly fried bhature. Take the E train to the last stop, then a 15-min Uber absolutely worth the trip. Delhi nostalgia unlocked.

2️⃣ Bikanerwala (Jersey City) – The classic street-style chole with just the right spice punch.

3️⃣ Kailash Parbat – Solid bhature, reliably delicious, a little less wow but dependable.

4️⃣ Angel Indian (Jackson Heights) – Great flavor, decent bhature, perfect for a quick fix.

5️⃣ Dilli Dilli – Authentic Delhi vibes, good chole, bhature slightly smaller but tasty.

For all my fellow Delhi food lovers, this is the ultimate bhature crawl! Where do you guys rank your favorites?
