Why is my morning glucose higher on days when I ate less the night before? Isn't it supposed to work the opposite way?
I've been tracking my fasting glucose on Zepbound, and I've noticed a weird pattern. On nights when I have a moderate, balanced dinner with some carbs, my morning glucose is around 95. On nights when I eat almost nothing for dinner (which happens a lot now because I'm just not hungry), my morning glucose is up around 110. I know about the dawn phenomenon and hepatic glucose production, but I thought eating less would lead to lower glucose, not higher. Is my liver dumping glucose because it thinks I'm starving overnight? Does anyone else have this really weird response?
