Speculation on when BFDIE takes place.

  • The opening of episode 1 states that the season takes place during Battle for Dream Island (January 1, 2010-January 1, 2012).
  • Announcer does not seem to know who the GO Guys are in episode 1 and 8. Which implies that it should take place before BFDI 2 (Febuary 1, 2010).
  • However, the G and O designs from BFDI 2 are noticeably different from their BFDI 2 design.
  • The season uses the new limbs from BFDI 9 onwards, which suggests that the season should take place after BFDI 8 (August 1, 2010)
  • The fourth episode is titled “Insectophobe’s Nightmare 0”, which implies that it should take place before BFDI 9 (September 1, 2011), along with all the other BFDIE episodes released before it.
  • Since David competes in this season, and isn't trapped in the Tiny Loser Chamber, it is assumed that his appearances in BFDIE ended before BFDI 20 (August 1, 2011), when he was sent to the Tiny Loser Chamber for the rest of the season. If it is assumed David did not travel between episodes to compete in both BFDI and BFDIE simultaneously, his appearances in BFDIE would end before BFDI 18 (June 1, 2011) instead.
  • The Announcer died in BFDI 22 (October 1, 2011) and wasn't recovered until BFDI 23 (November 1, 2011), so it is assumed that he could not host BFDIE between the two episodes.
  • Eraser is shown outside of the Tiny Loser Chamber at the end of episode 10, which implies that it takes place before his elimination in BFDI 15 (March 1, 2011).
  • Overall, if we do vice-versa, the first episode may have took place within January 1-31, 2010 (right after BFDI 1), and the last episode between March 5 and April 9, 2010 (right after BFDI 3 or "4).
