It's unknown if he actually sees him or if it's only Gordon, but in all current G-Man appearances in the series he appears visible to everyone. Alyx chooses to not look directly at the monitor.

We as players only know that Barney has seen G-Man only once in the series before this, and he was not helped by him unlike Gordon, Alyx and Shephard.
Barney has seen some shit in 20 years, I wouldn't be surprised if he already somewhat knows something about the G-Man. No one seems to mention him besides Eli and the Female Scientist from HLA. He is even seen on the TV Boxcar Joe and the Vort are watching in Route Kanal but yet again not acknowledged.

Could have the G-Man told him about Gordon? G-Man has talked to Cubbage before, presumably making sure he'll teach Gordon to use the Rocket Launcher conveniently before a Gunship attacks NLO. He could've done the same to Barney to save Gordon from Nova Prospekt and who knows to how many more characters like the Sandtraps vort, Grigori, or the Episode 2 Station 21 rebels with the car radar.

This could obviously just be an oversight, but this doesn't seem too far-fetched.

This is gonna sound crazy, but I kinda miss the zombies.

First victim was wearing red Resistance Rebel clothing has a crossbow bolt going through his right hand, pinning it to his neck. Wounds on the lower and upper torso.
Second victim was wearing standard city inhabitant clothing around these parts, seems to have died from severe head trauma (possibly caused by Antlions), no other injuries observed.
There is a deceased headcrabed Resistance Medic not far away, it is unknown if they were affiliated. Body unidentifiable. Headcrab dead too.
The former two bodies had a total of 4 Combine packaged rations. One was ripped open, it had medical supplies inside. (Contents tampered with)
There is a car crashed into an Antlion Guard, engine is dead. (Obviously)
Many dead Antlions nearby. Reason unknown.
Lots of Combine aerial activity in the area, as usual. (Luckily the storm's hard to see through for the Combine fliers)

I'm asking this because I feel like I've seen the second victim before somewhere and maybe I can get a name.
