I am grateful for my job as a WH Cook

I spent years in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do or be. I tried business management, computer programming, nursing, all the paths that I thought would make me financially secure. Deep down I wasn't cut out for any of them. It wasn't that I couldn't do them but my heart just wasn't in it. I left college with a culinary arts degree and fear that I would never be financially successful. Deep down I'm just more of a right minded person and I love to create things. I love moving around the kitchen and completing tasks. I love the accuracy and speed my job requires. Times are changing right now, AI is posing a real threat to the job market and we really don't know who's safe. I'm happy I have a job I enjoy, I'm happy I have a job at all :). While I sometimes worry about the future, my father told me that the birds leave the nest everyday to find food and Allah takes care of them. As long as I try, Allah will take care of me too. I'll invest in good shoes, apply good bending practices and ultimately do my part and I'll be alright.

I am grateful for my doggos snores.

There's just something overwhelmingly peaceful about knowing that my doggo is all snug as a bug in a rug in my room snoring away knowing that he is safe, well fed, well groomed, and overloved 💕

I'm grateful I have all my teeth!

I've always suffered from insecurity about my smile. My teeth are crooked and overcrowded so I've always smiled with my lips closed. I want to do less of that now and not be ashamed of my smile. It's a beautiful smile and it's unique to me 😁. No one who came before or who shall come after will ever possess a smile like mine 😁 and shant rob the world of that!

What helped my Hand eczema

I am allergic to bread and I recently gave up sugar. This caused me to eat Ritz Crackers for several weeks, and because I haven't had any issues for a good few years, I disregarded the thought that it might cause a really bad flare up 😅. When it came, it came with a vengeance! It's only on my hands which doesn't help much because now my hands look all old from the scratches but some things can't be helped... The "Big Beautiful Bill" removed my affordable insurance so no chance I was going to go get what used to help me which was Elidel. I resorted to the classic soaking my hands in an oatmeal bath 3 times a day, after each soak I would pat damp and then cover my hands in Ashanti shea butter, the yellow creamy one, that I got from Target. I would then put them in plastic gloves and go about my day. It's been slow but my hands are improving well. They are occasionally itchy but I've just went to moisturizing them with the shea butter. At nights I sleep with my buttered hands in the gloves. I've never posted here but just wanted to pass on the knowledge in case anyone needed it, best wishes :).
