The "Tea towel" story
As a person that can sew clothing and actually works in costuming, I've always had my doubts about this story. Maybe it's on me, English is not my first language. But for me a Tea towel is a cotton, non stretch type of fabric.
I absolutely believe that this dress is DIY since you can see that its very "hobby lobby" stitched to the dress. (Sorry to Geri's sis, you created history!).
But from what I can see it's rather made out of a jersey, stretchy material. It would not hug her body as flattering and it probably would not have made the end of the performance without faling apart. I think a tea towel would not cover the black of the dress enough either, it's still very vibrant.
Honestly I love the dress and it's really not a big deal, but I was wondering what do you guys think?
