Tudor's Design Flaws vs Rolex Design Flaws

https://preview.redd.it/mloi2rbqjm4h1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d432f68d1b5f7b5a68a8e8f5365e2c576dd029c5

During the years I often read how Tudor watches are supposed to be flawed on purpose to not compete with Rolex.

Usual design flaws noted are the thickness, the hands shape, the rivets, the color of the lume.

The general idea seems to be that Rolex watches are instead perfectly designed, while Tudors are purposely flawed.

One thing that gets overlooked is that Rolex watches also have a lot of design "flaws".
The crystal is very flat, extremely reflective, the cases have edges which are not chamfered at all, the back of the watches often protrudes in a weird "bubble back" way, digging into your wrist, and so on.

That's all to say, design is incredibly subjective.

Rolex is far from having the "perfect design", while Tudor is far from having "flawed designs".

Just enjoy what you enjoy.

Weekender Cloth Coat MIUSA - Help Fit and Dating

Dear all,

I have grabbed this Weekender Coat jacket made in U.S., which I find really beautiful, off the internet.
The jacket is basically in new old stock conditions, with the wax felling still wet to the touch and the tags still attached.

This is my first Filson jacket, but not my first Filson item. Usually the modern Filson L fits me perfectly, but this one seems to be a bit small on the arms and shoulders.
Definitely will not possible to layer it very much.

I'd really like to know your opinion on the sizing.

I am also very curious about the dating of the jacket. According to my research the 0911 under "Style" should mean that it has been made in September 2011, would that be correct?

Thanks a lot folks!

Beaufort Plastic Lining Questions

Hey all!

I have purchased some days ago a beautiful new Beaufort Jacket, having wanted a Barbour for a while now.
Upon touching the lining, I noticed that it feels really stiff, not really like cotton, or at least like cotton that has been traded some way.
I went then in the rabbit hole of plastic lining jackets, which now replace the older PFAS treatments, and am now unsure if my jacket has it.
At the touch it feels rough, like I can feel the cotton ridges, but more like polyester than cotton.
It is also not shiny, but maybe the plastic lining is in the back of the cotton?
I have read that all V1 jackets, which mine is, have this lining.

So my questions are:
is what I am touching the plastic lining, or is it on the back of the cotton, or is it present at all?

P.S.: sorry for the naked foot, I swear I am wearing shorts
