Inkscape -> Epilog Helix Question

Hey! Need to make some router templates out of 1/4” acrylic sheet. Designs have a mix of etched parts (alignment lines, scale measurements, etc) and cut parts. I have access to an Epilog Helix 60W at work and its computer is limited to Inkscape.

I made my files in illustrator and am running into issues with it “printing” correctly. All paths are shapes from AI, text expanded to outlines.

Imported at scale to Inkscape, confirmed hairline R255 red for cut lines and .25pt black for etched lines.

Laser settings in photo in comments. Laser partially cuts 2 sides and stops. Any suggestions? Thanks!

SG EB-3 Build Question

Hey all. Long time woodworker. Somewhat long time bassist. Challenging myself to build an EB3! First of what will probably a few questions along the way!

Digitizing the plans I purchased and laser cutting some routing jigs for the pickup cavities. Neck and neck pickup is dead on the center line of the body, but does it make sense that the bridge pickup and the bridge front screw aren’t centered to it as well? Confirmed this to be the case on the routing holes of the plans too. Double checked with calipers to make sure I wasn’t going crazy…

Should I follow these exactly? Or should I center both pickups and bridge down the center?

Waterslide Decals Question

Hey! Tried my first attempt at waterslide decals for a chorus I’m building. Any idea what’s causing the below?

Process:
- enclosure sprayed with rustoleum, wet sanded, and gloss clear coated, baked.
- printed transfer sheets on laser printer, clear coated. Made lukewarm solution of water with small drop or vinegar and dish soap.
- looked amazing at install, not so much now
