I got pangoro and thought he seemed pretty cool so I wanted to build a team around him and ended up building a team around expanding force chimeco (I’ve been wanting to try an expanding force team for a while).

I thought mega Chimeco and pangoro would go good next to each other since chimeco sets up TR for both and covers pangoro’s fighting and fairy weakness while pangoro can cover chimeco’s weakness to dark and ghost type mons

I then added torkoal w/ rockslide to threaten flying and resist fire type mons that threaten pangoro and chimeco respectfully

I then included tinkaton for additional threat into dark and fairy type mons, then end it off with torterra to add additional offensive threat into fire and ground type Pokémon (and the steel, fighting, and fire Pokémon on my team threaten torterra’s ice weakness)

Forgot to mention but meowstic obviously sets up psychic terrain (but I plan to only open w both of my psychic mons if the other team doesn’t have a strong offensive dark or ghost Pokémon that I think they’d open with, otherwise I’d open pangoro)

Is my thinking/team building flawed and is there any better alternatives I could include on the team? Any coverage im missing or holes in my strategy?

I wanted to make a gimmicky team arnd anger point crookodile and tauros water

Super luck scope lens night slash has +3 crit ratio (guaranteed) allowing me to get a NVE crit onto either or boosting their attack to 4x

I then add M Delphox to cover for my teams grass and fighting weaknesses, corviknight to cover for my teams fairy weakness and to potentially put next to earthquake if I decide to add it to Krookodile, and Roserade for additional disruption, chip damage, completing the fire water grass trio, and having another answer into opposing grass or fairy pokemon

Is this a good team? (W/ or w/o anger point gimmick)

1. Rate my Team: Built around Passimian and Mawile sweeping w/ a receiver and huge power

2. I’ve been running this team w/ tail wind only but decided to add a trick room mode to counter other tailwinds and potentially other trick rooms, but when do I run either or?

I made it to MB4 but I’m struggling to make it farther

Passimian and M Starmie have been really good and diverse sweepers with high attack and the ability to have or transfer huge power,

Aero for tailwind set up as well as a counter to other tailwind setters (rockslide for flying and wingbeat for whimsicott) and Grimm for screens, fake out, and fairy spread move

Then Aegishlash for a counter into fairy, ghost, and poison pokemon as well as spread moves threatening my team

Eelevate for a potential alternative to huge power

I usually open Grim and Aero to threaten fake out, set up tailwind, then set up screens before I use Starmie and Passimian to sweep

What can I add or remove from this team? Is there an alternative to Eelektross because he kinda sucks compared to huge power Starmie (I was thinking maybe Serperior contrary with close combat, I’ve just never seen serperior be used well and I’d need to switch the item on Passimian if I’m gonna spam close combat)

Honestly overlooked, great attack and speed w/ potential to receive abilities

I built my team arnd Passimian receiving huge power w/ eelevate as an alternative

A tailwind and screen setter as well as a support zoark for deception, support, alt speed control, and disruption

Only weakness is Zoark and Passimian are super fragile but it got me to Greatball (~1,600)

I was also thinking of using aegishlash instead of Zoark for defensive switchins and wide guard

I love Passimian as a pokemon and its signature ability is so unique I HAD to at least try and make it work so this is my attempt:

This team brought me from Ultra Ball 4 to Great ball 4 ~1,600

Any thoughts? I was thinking of replacing Zoroark after watching it get one shot by anything but eelektross really needs the helping hand to start his momentum
