The solo 2v2 elo problem isn't talked about enough

This is something that is personally seriously bugging me out ever since 2v2 soloq was released since it's actually the gamemode I have been playing the most recently, with even Boomie mentioning the problem in his most recent video.

In some weird match ups you usually get +1 when winning a game, for example my personal elo was 1976 and my teammates personal elo was 1964 and my soloq rating was 2039.

Our opponents individual rating was 2043 and 2131, this means that both of their individual rating was higher than my solo queue rating. Yet from winning that match I gained +1, while if I would have lost it. I probably would have gotten -14 if not more.

This surely can't be intentional there has to be some sort of calculation that went wrong during this process.

It makes playing the gamemode and winning close games much less fun because if you actually care about your elo, you simply don't get rewarded for playing good and winning.

I know maybe some or most of you don't care, but for the people that do (me, and boomie lol) it truly feels a bit unrewarding.

If anyone knows why this specifically happens also, feel free to mention it. I posted a post about a week ago or so asking why this happens, but didn't get a response that explains it.

Is reaching valhallan in soloq 2v2 even impressive?

I guess it really comes down from person to person, to someone that have reached valhallan in 1v1 and 2v2? Probably not, but for someone that has never reached valhallan? idk maybe?

What are your guys thoughts about it?

Because personally for me, I'm not even top 2000 in 1s (although I hate 1s) but today I reached top 200 in soloq (EU), but if I were to even reach valhallan once in soloq 2s I'm not really sure it would feel as a big achievement, I've been trying hard but it hasn't nessecarily been extremely difficult.

Would be interesting what your guys thoughts are about it.

Tack!

How are the driver ratings in career currently (in the new dlc)?

I heard when they released the dlc it was really bad, I want the DLC to match the current performance of the drivers this year so far as much as possible aka i just dont want the aston martin or cadillacs being able to get into q3.

I heard they introducted a patch for this, has this made a difference or is this still an issue? Because that's honestly what has been keeping me from purchasing the dlc so far. I have heard the AI racing is a bit better, which I look forward to.

What e-drums should I get that are "the next step"?

Movet out about a year ago and growing up I had my dads old acoustic trumset and it was really big and very enjoyable to play with.

A few years ago I got a "Alesis Turbo Mesh" e-drum set and it worked fine really but I kind of got bored after some time because it didn't just feel like the real thing purely because of it's size.

And now that I have a job, I'm ready to go up in price to buy a larger drum set.

So my main focus is that i definitely want something bigger than before, a lot bigger. But I'd also not like to go above 1100$ if possible.

I also don't know if this is possible but when I played my acoustic drums I always had my headphones on with a song playing in the background so if possible it would be pretty nice to be able to plug in the headphones to hear the drums but ALSO playing music at the same time. (Just googled it, seems rather easy and exists on most drums)

Some I've been looking at after just a quick 2 minute google search are:
Millenium MPS-1000
Millenium MPS-850

But they seem to have mixed reviews and I haven't deep dived into anything really myself yet, would like to hear your suggestions first!

Thanks.

I've been running nai with double speed recently but wondering if anyone else have any opinion.

And don't say "none" that wasn't my question

What are the weaknesses of bow and hammer?

These are the two weapons I struggle the most against, which is quite ironic since I play katars...

but that's besides the point, I read another post just a minute ago that I should play the weapons to get a better understanding of them which I will definitely do but hearing your thoughts on what makes the individual weapons weak/strong could probably help me get a more clear image of what to focus on when going against these weapons.

Thanks.

This is mostly a tip for lower-rated players who keep complaining about sig spam:

There is a big difference between mindless sig spamming and using sigs smartly.

I’m a katars main, and sometimes I play Queen Nai in 2s. I’m completely horrible with spear, and I would never pick Queen Nai for her stats alone. But her sigs are literally what make the character work, and everyone knows that.

For example, her spear dsig is amazing for taking stage control, which is exactly what you want. The key is not just throwing sigs out randomly, it's using them with a purpose. A good sig can force movement, punish predictable approaches, cover space, and make your opponent respect your threat range.

That is why “sig spam” becomes so effective against lower-ranked players. A lot of the time, they are not actually losing because sigs are broken, they are losing because they keep trying to do the same thing over and over without adapting. If someone keeps hitting you with the same sig, at some point the problem is not only their move choice. It is that you are letting them get away with it.

So yeah, sigs can be annoying. But that does not mean they are cheap or useless. They are part of the game, and learning how to deal with them is part of getting better.
