Questions about the O-Train

Questions about the O-Train

I recently moved from Toronto to Ottawa for school, and I have a few questions about the system

1: When will the extension to Trim open? There's a place I really want to visit in Orleans, but the bus ride takes about three times longer than driving :(

2: I remember the O-Train running every 5 minutes when I was last here, and (if I remember correctly) around every 2-3 minutes during rush hour. Why did they change it to 10 minutes off peak and 5 minutes on peak?

3: Why are they running streetcars instead of subway trains in the tunnel?

4: My buddy told me that Bank Street is basically the Ottawa equivalent of Yonge Street in Toronto. Are there plans to build a train line under it? We have a subway running under our busiest street from many many years ago

Thanks!

Which route should I go with?

Does anyone know how reliable the 94 bus is during rush hour? I'm carrying a big bag, so I'm not sure if transferring at Mount Dennis and Eglinton would be a good idea. Union works, but it's the longest route and involves a lot of walking... I'm kind of torn on what to do right now lol

(I know the 94 is a GO bus, not a TTC bus, but I reckon this would be the best place to ask. I’m sorry lol)

Toll the 905ers.

We need to start charging 905 drivers for using municipal expressways.

The 401 and DVP/404 interchange is a disaster every weekday at 5 pm. The same goes for the Allen and Eglinton. Data has shown that over 40% of DVP traffic comes from north of Steeles. Why does the city keep spending so much on suburban commuters?

The Gardiner also costs us a fortune to maintain, yet it’s mainly used by suburbanites commuting into the core. Not to mention the number of bad drivers who have only driven on suburban stroads and can't even understand basic city signage like no left turn on College.

Stop complaining about traffic. When you drive, you are THE traffic. Public transit is not a dystopia. The GO train is right there, park your car and ride the train.
