Is it me or this sub is turning into AI slope content?... (Sadly)

I think I can block the people just spamming this sub with AI shit, but it feels off. I used to like what was shared here, the quality of it.

Well, real question, what to do about it?

Do the mods endorse AI generated content / posts, in which case the sub is doomed for me; or is there a fire coming way to filter out this low quality content ?

Well if you have opinion about it, please let's talk it out.

I am not saying we shouldn't use AI at all etc., I am just saying I see more and more low quality, AI generated, content here.

Hello dear scholars,

New to the sub, doing a PhD in computer science so maybe I don't have the codes... But I've seen that people here are quite froggy !

I did some digging in the sub but I couldn't find an explanation.

Would a gentile froggy soul be kind enough to teach me the ribbit ?

Wishing you all good luck 🐸

Also, I use an example involving animals for illustrating my manuscript, so I was considering adding a frog to it ! But I would rather know where the matter comes from first.

Hello there,

Well, I trying to give a second life to my OnePlus 9 pro (LE2123) which has :

  • a broken back frame
  • broken camera surrounding back frame
  • dead battery
  • USB charging port not 'holding' the USB C cable
  • some burned pixels on the AMOLED screen.

I already had the battery replaced, but the repairman said he couldn't get an original battery, so I accepted that he uses a 'generic' battery... Well, I lost fast charging, plus the battery died after 6 month and I no have to charge my phone every hour !

Also, I decided changing the AMOLED screen for a few burned pixels was too risky and not worth it.

Thanks to people on this sub I was able to order an orignal Oneplus battery for mon 9 pro (thanks again !).

Here are the parts I already bought :

  • back frame glass
  • battery (hopefully a true original one)
  • camera glass frame
  • phone repair tools
  • glue for 'sealing' the frame back
  • static free silicon mat

However, I now have another issue... Not USB charging cable is holding in my phone's charging port ! So I figure I must as well change that part when opening up the phone.

(I must say I am not used to replacing phone's part, so I may as well do it once only to minimize risk of failure.)

Hence my question: Should I seek an original oneplus branded 'usb port flexible' or is it a part that can be replaced with a random generic brand ?

So far I have found this part on AliExpress at about 10$, or on ebay at about 20$, but it doesn't say 'original OnePlus party anywhere...

Thank you for reading so far ! Thanks a lot for any help I may receive ! :)

PS: if you where to open up a phone for repair and giving it a second life:

  • Would there be any additional part you would recommend changing ?
  • do you have any tips for making it right ?

Saw this post in r/interesting, and I was wandering if the praying mantis can live normally after the parasite gets removed?

Like I think some parasites are just killing the insect/animal and taking over the body, but then it's impossible to go back, isn't it ?

So I was wandering about this one, because it feels like "where do the worm find enough room to be in there ?"

Edit : sorry for the title... Just saw the typo...
