Submitted through Service Ontario: July 27th 2026
Reviewed/Mailed out by Registrar General: Week of August 9th (unsure exact date)
Received in mail: August 17th 2026

The reason mine was so quick is due to the expedited form. I submitted it on August 7th online after I submitted my application. One of the accepted reasons to expedite the process is being trans/gender marker change. Although, I did state my other reasons in order to expedite so unsure exactly why I was approved. Nonetheless, it is worth a try for anyone to expedite the process. You’re waiting anyways.

Anyone aware of the current wait times for Dr. Armstrong @ McLean clinic (grace med) for top surgery? I emailed them and got the general FAQ and there it stated 12-18month but for any doctor. I’m wondering specifically on Dr. Katie Armstrong if anyone has a more updated wait time.

I’ve placed the link above for my go fund me for my top surgery. Anything helps 🙏 I know many have probably asked but hopefully y’all can help me reach my goal and move forward with my life. Only thing I can unfortunately promise back is that the help received will always be paid forward 🙌🏽

How long did you guys wait/how often did you call service Ontario for an update on where you are in regards to your name change application? I’d rather not check my bank statement everyday and would rather have an update on where I am on the list to be approved or hopefully not bounced back. I handed my name change in on July/27 (yes ik it doesn’t get processed that quick)

I’m about to see my commissioner of oaths soon to submit my name change paperwork. Confused on if I need a police record check or not? Are these for criminal charges only? It states if you have any traffic tickets as well? So confused on how y’all decided if you needed a police record check or not?

Was anyone’s here denied/returned due to them saying you needed a police record check because you didn’t hand one in the first time? I don’t want mine to be returned, and also frustrating that if they know I need a police record check why am I even asked to provide one? You can see everything I have and you’re double checking anyways. So wtf am I hiding? Last part is just me venting at this stupid process smh

Anyone know some of the shortest wait time for top surgery currently? Private or public doesn’t matter. (Hontscharuk, GRS, gracemed, Bryan Chung etc). Shortest wait times plus the current price would be nice for any and all surgeons currently. Thanks

Has anyone received the email/invite for the Toronto paramedic Criticall in person test? They said texting starts July 3rd, still haven’t received the sign-up link. Don’t want to miss it and been checking my junk/email?

For the application do only the signatures need to be pen to paper (handwritten) or does the entire form need to be handwritten?

I was going to fill out what I can on a PDF file and use pen to paper for all signatures. Anyone know if that’s suffice?

Any advice on if it matters when I change my name? For reference, I’m FTM, getting my eggs out in about a month then starting T after that’s done. Is it best to wait till I start T for name change or better to start that process now?

Any advice to assist surgeon in getting the best results (more specifically regarding incision lines)? I.e

- How long to be on T for prior to surgery?
-more pec development
- lower body fat? If so is smaller better or doesn’t matter just keep it low?
- any other ways to decrease chest size prior to surgery?
- healing pre-measures? anything to take or do prior to for better healing?

Anyone know when Durham a next hiring process is?

I am 27 years old and have been smoking for about 10 years (little over). For the last 8 years it has been daily usage probably ranging from 1-5grams per day slowly increasing over the years. I finally was able to pull the plug and quit cold turkey 45 days ago.

I first quit alcohol prior to that, reached 100 days and relapsed. The goal was to quit alcohol first as that was a bigger issue of mine then try to quit weed. I was so defeated when I relapsed after 100 days so I decided to quit both cold turkey again. I’m 45 days sober, mental clarity is back, sleep is back, appetite is back, no more cold sweats etc. Basically have no withdrawal symptoms at this point. I definitely get cravings here and there (wow this hike would be nice high etc) but have managed to check myself back in and say “I don’t need this right now”.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for from this post, other than I guess a place to share my sobriety journey so far. Good luck to anyone in the beginning of their sobriety journey, it may seem like 45 days is far away from you but just know I’m also just in the beginning stages as well!
