Finished the game, still have some questions

Hi everyone. A few weeks ago I finally got around to playing Hi-Fi Rush. Needless to say I absolutely loved it. I'm in the post game right now, and there are a few things I've been wondering about:

  1. All the bigger enemies follow the same pattern: Once you damage them enough they get this yellow aura, become invincible for a while and do this wave attack twice to drag you into this short rhythm duel that lets you 1-hit-kill them if you win. But you can also dodge or parry these wave attacks and keep fighting them normally. But why would you even want to do that in the first place? Isn't getting dragged into the duel always the better option?

  2. What would you consider to be the best chip loadout, both for in and outside of Rhythm Tower? When I looked for suggestions I often saw people recommend five level 1 chips, but almost never any level 2 or 3 ones. Is there a reason for that?

  3. I believe that 808 Gigawatt Cat Attack is the strongest special move in the game, right? The problem is that every other time I use it, it completely misses the target and just wastes my reverb meter. What am I doing wrong?

  4. The Wall of Fame has a task that requires getting a 'Magnet Link' 300 times. But what exactly is that? Does that mean using the grappling hook during a combo or something? Because I usually use quick steps to close the distance.

Softlock through Drizzle?

https://preview.redd.it/cnl5eagnzrdh1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=081ec851ec2d374a090126de5e55ae9105f066a6

Hi everyone. I have a small problem in Emerald Rogue. I'm currently in one of the sim battles with a Dondozo in my party. The opponent has a Drizzle Politoed and a Golisopod. Everything went fine at first. But then he switched to Golisopod, I sent it out again through emergency exit, Politoed enters the field again, and no matter what action I choose after that locks the game. The Drizzle animation continues though, so it isn't frozen. Through save states I tried some other moves, but whenever Politoed comes back in, the game softlocks.

Does anyone know what causes this, or what I can do now? I'm using the mGBA emulator, which from what I've read works well with Emerald Rogue.

Question about making your party "better"

Hi everyone. I've finally decided to try out Emerald Rogue. I have a few questions though:

  1. Say I got a Snivy with Overgrow and poor IVs. How would I go about permanently getting a Snivy with Contrary and good/perfect IVs? Would I go about this by catching other Snivys over and over again until I got one that I want? Or would I focus on improving the Snivy that I already have?

  2. My first Pokémon I got is a Rockruff with Keen Eye. For Lycanroc Dusk you would normally have to have a special one with the Own Tempo ability, but how is this handled in Emerald Rogue?

  3. Are Emerald Rogue Pokémon generally the same as their vanilla counterpart? Or do some Pokémon have access to moves and abilities that they can't have in the main games?

Best rom hacks for Chrono Trigger

I'm currently in the mood to play Chrono Trigger again and had the idea to look into its hacking scene. But there are quite a few more hacks than I expected for it. Hacks like Chrono Trigger+, Enhasa Edition and Schala Edition for example, which all look very promising. So I have two questions:

  1. Which hacks have you played and how much did you like them?

  2. There are other hacks that only overhaul a part of the game, like Chrono Trigger ATB Fixes, Chrono Trigger Refined, or All Stat Tabs. Can you mix together multiple hacks, or can I just use one at a time?

Optimal way to play Wild Arms 2?

Hi everyone. Wild Arms 1 is one of my favourite JRPGs and I wanted to finally tackle the entire series (or at least 2, 3 and 5).

Problem is that I've bounced off of Wild Arms 2 twice by now and I think the biggest reason for this is its English translation. Now, I've played a lot of games with an iffy translation before, but WA2's is so poor that it really dampens my enjoyment of it. Every couple of lines I have to pause and unriddle what the game is actually trying to tell me. It gets exhausting.

So I wanted to ask if there really isn't a fan translation or anything like that? I've seen some projects, but I think none of them were ever finished.

And aside from translation, are there any fan hacks or mods that improve the experience? I don't have too high hopes, since WA2 seems to be a very niche game, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Lüfterprobleme bei PC-Anfänger

Hi zusammen,

Was würdet ihr empfehlen?

PS: Falls es relevant ist, hier sind die Spezifikationen von meinem PC:

SQ-Tower 07W - schwarz - Glasfenster

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 8x 4.20Ghz Polartherm by Thermal Grizzly

be quiet! Dark Rock 5 Tower-Kühler

MSI Pro B850-P WIFI

32GB DDR5 RAM 6000 MHz Kingston FURY Beast CL30 (2x 16GB - Dual Channel)

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT - 16GB

1000 GB WD Black SN850X

be quiet! Pure Power 13 M - 850W vollmodular - 80 PLUS Gold

Tales of Graces f - Last bunch of gameplay questions

I'm currently playing Tales of Graces *f*, and this time I really want to understand and get the most out of every single gameplay mechanic. But there are still a few things I need some advice on:

  1. What options does Asbel have to pick up downed enemies? I know that his Accel and Icedragon Flurry do that, but you can't always use these right when you need them. Then there is Concussive Bolt, but I'm not really a fan of that arte because of the delay. Is there anything else?
  2. Suppose you have access to every title in the game and have mastered all of them - What title gives you the best equipped title effect in your opinion? There are so many options and I don't know what to pick. The "Mastery" titles give you +4 Max CC. Another title boosts the power of your MAs by 40%, which sounds great as well. Then there are the titles that increase your A arte or B arte crit rate by 30%. Or how about the titles that halve all damage above a certain point? What would you recommend? One of these or something else?
  3. There is a food called Tuna Bowl, which adds 1 point to your weapon's stats whenever it is cooked. Problem is that it is only cooked if your party's HP is below 30% after a battle. So I thought "how about lowering your HP in the purple liquid inside the Rockgagong and then battle at 1 HP"? My question is, have fans come up with an actual strategy for this? Because while this kind of works, you're also always in the danger of easily losing party members since a single hit knocks them out.

Thanks in advance for your help!
