Ngl I audibly gagged when they pulled this one in WolfWalkers, It foreshadows the extent of Bill's obsession against Wolves while somehow making it lighthearted
Would you much rather be a WolfWalker living in the forest or a Selkie living in the sea and why?
A specific moment I love about from the sketchy style in WolfWalkers is that after Robyn is fighting herself to prevent turning into a wolf she has her sketchy style but right before her wild side "looses" to the pressure we actually see both styles at the same time on her.
Cartoon Saloon's 25 year anniversary Art Book is nearly here, with pre orders opening on the Cartoon Saloon store for 60 euros
"The official visual retrospective of the first 25 years of Cartoon Saloon.
For twenty-five years, Cartoon Saloon has been telling stories through art. What began as a small studio with big ambitions has grown into a body of work that has travelled around the world while always remaining rooted in creativity, craft, and a deep love of animation.
The Art of Cartoon Saloon: 25 Years is a celebration of that journey. Across 300 pages, this book brings together artwork from every corner of our catalogue—from beloved feature films to television series, and short films that have helped shape who we are. It is a collection of sketches, paintings, character designs, storyboards, concept art, and visual explorations that trace the evolution of ideas from their earliest spark to the screen.
Alongside familiar images are pieces of never-before-seen artwork, drawn from our archives and shared publicly for the first time. Together, they offer a rare glimpse into the creative process behind the stories, characters, and worlds that have defined Cartoon Saloon over the last quarter century.
Whether you have followed our work from the beginning or are discovering it for the first time, we hope these pages invite you behind the scenes and into the heart of our creative journey.
Thank you for being part of the story."

Cartoon Saloon officially confirms in a new Instagram post that "Mebh and the wolf pups" is indeed a prequel to WolfWalkers hinting to more info coming on September at Cartoon Forum.
"The excitement around Mebh and the Wolf Pups has us ready for adventure 🐺, looking forward to cartoon_media.eu this September!.
Mebh is a wild, adventurous young girl, a Wolfwalker! Her pack is made up of four regular wolf pups, each with its own distinct personality. This gang of friends explore the forest, make new friends, and help the other animals they share a home with - friendly mice and squirrels, a grumpy badger and more. Full of mischief, Mebh and the Wolf Pups often cause mayhem with their boisterous fun but, when Mebh transforms into a wolf, she connects with nature and her environment allowing her and her pals to solve any problem! There is a huge woodland out there for Mebh and the Pups to explore, filled with friends to meet and no end of adventure!
Mebh and the Wolf Pups is a TV series prequel to the Academy Award® nominated film WolfWalkers where we get to know Mebh and her wolf pack before she met Robyn."
Why do you think Connor and Bronach ended up deciding to have Ben and Saoirse if Bronach knew she would have to leave them sooner or later?
How do you think Robyn's life was in England before she moved to Ireland?
What do you think is the limit of the healing power of a WolfWalker and how do you think it scales as more members of the pack join in? Considering it took Robyn, Bill, and Mebh to cure a severe chest wound on Mol.
From being oppressed and nearly having her daughter killed multiple times, to singlehandedly saving Ireland by killing his oppressor, plus becoming a badass wolf, Bill couldn't have asked for a better arc tbh.
Given all of the references that the Folklore Trilogy does to each other, are you actually convinced the trilogy take place on the same universe or do you not agree and why?
What are your main theories/questions/thoughts about Robyn's mother? Especially considering we get very few mentions of her in the movie and the only time we actually see her is on a single page of the Art Book
Which parental figure arc in the Folklore Trilogy did you connect with or enjoyed the most and why?
We are just one week away from Julián being premiered at the Annecy festival in June 23rd. What are your expectations for the movie, and do you plan on watching it?
Given the historical context of Kilkenny, but taking into account the death of the Lord Protector, what do you think happened to the WolfWalkers years after the ending of the movie?
Cartoon Saloon has no right making endings that are so cathartic and healing. The payoff of seeing the characters grow and understand each other is immense. What is your favorite arc in Cartoon Saloon movie and why?
Do you think Robyn still hunts as a WolfWalker?
How do you think Mol managed the wolf pack before being captured and passing the baton to Mebh?
I love how Cartoon Saloon subtly introduces incredibly impactful symbolism through small objects on the movies, like the Book in The Secret Of Kells, the shell in Song Of The Sea, and the flower in WolfWalkers.
This symbolism can be seen in how the Abbot, for example, finally understands the value of the book by seeing how it and Brendan survived and grew while the wall he was obsessed with finishing never ended up working and lost his ability to appreciate the other things in life. Or how in Song of the Sea the shell is the main object Ben has held onto to remind him of Bronach, but as he grows to understand and appreciate Saoirse more, he slowly heals that wound and when the shell breaks, he doesn't care and immediately sprints to save Saoirse, which is an amazing way to show Ben "letting go" of the past. Finally, in WolfWalkers, the flower is a smaller token of appreciation that starts between Robyn and Bill but slowly starts growing into a token of friendship and ultimately leads to a token of understanding between Bill and Mol, who previously were completely against each other and illustrates the entire conflict arc in a simple and clever way.
