[Krawczynski] Nearly every big name that has come available over the last few years, from Durant to Antetokounmpo to Ja Morant and James Harden, has at least been discussed internally. That will only shift into overdrive now.

The Wolves can trade their No. 28 pick in this year’s draft and their 2028 first-round pick, giving them some draft compensation to add to a potential package for a star like Antetokounmpo.

Hornets-Bucks-Timberwolves

Hornets - Get Gobert who is still playing at a high level and provides a defensive anchor.

Bucks - Trade Myles Turner for expiring money and receive a protected Miami 1st round pick

Timberwolves - Decide the current roster has reached its ceiling and retool around Ant. Move off an aging Gobert while he still has value.

Clippers-Timberwolves

This is if nothing happens in Kawhi’s aspiration investigation and if Kawhi is open to extending in Minnesota.

The Timberwolves were willing to offer a lot for KD if he wanted to go there so I would think they would be aggressive in going for another superstar level player.

Cade - The Pistons were 14-68 just two seasons ago and the worst team in the league. He would be the guy who led the franchise to a title after 15+ years of being bad or mediocre.

Wemby - He would win a ring in just his 3rd season and at age 22. He would join all-time greats such as Tim Duncan and David Robinson as a generational big man who won a ring with the Spurs.

Ant - He would be the player who led the Timberwolves to their first title in franchise history. This would also be one of the toughest roads to a title in league history and the lowest seed to win the title since the 1994-95 Rockets.

Rockets - Decide to keep their young core and move on from KD. Receive a package of role players to replenish their depth and a couple firsts.

Grizzlies - Move off Ja without having to give up any draft capital for a big expiring and some seconds to take Capela.

Kings - Go the Wizards route and get 2 stars without giving up any core young players or own 1st round picks. Form a big 3 with Sabonis, Durant, and Morant.
